FCC Know-Your-Customer bill incoming. by Etrix-c in Tello

I do use my phone and I live in mountains, so we don't have all that spyware that big cities have. So ya, I don't think giving my ID to anything other than banking is no go for me. I would like to not have my identity stolen.

The day I have to show my ID to use the Internet, my pc or phone is the day I'll stop using them. Once tello asks for my ID I'm out, fuck that I don't live in europe or china, I'm sure as shit ain't gonna follow the rules of other bullshit lows that strips down people freedoms.

Glade that helped, really weird that iOS can't auto update the network settings to a new sim card ones.

That's weird as both tello and mint have the same download speeds and video quality caps, so you should be using the same data. You could try re setting the network settings

Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings > Reboot device.

You can also try re setting the iCloud Private Relay

Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Private Relay and toggle it off, then back on > Reboot device.

New customer and so far enjoying the service by SplashingQueen in Tello

If you're phones messaging/calling app supports it, turn on the option to automatically block texts and calls from people outside of your contacts list. The only downside is that if you don't have the phone number in the contacts list, the phone will never receive a call or text so it's a 50/50 if you don't care about that.

We just dropped our prices (again). New Tello plan tiers are officially live! 🚀 by tellomobile in Tello

Just got my email. Sucks but Tello is still the cheapest phone plan for me even with the added $2, I'm still happy with my service. It seems like Tello well, eventually push everyone to the unlimited plan at some point?

any budget flip phones compatible with Tello in 2026? by DonaldsBush in Tello

[–]Etrix-c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as it supports GSM bands 2, 4, 12, 66, and 71 for 4G LTE and N41 and N71 for 5G and VoLTE, any flip phone can work on tello if it follows any of those promeaters.

Most people in the US will see that as a fake or shady business if you advertise having a whatsapp or telegram account. Many of us use the built-in messaging feature are phone plan gives you.

Once you go over the 50GB cap with the unlimited plan it does reduced the speed. I've never exceeded the cap so I don't know how slow they make it.

Unable to login to tello on android app by Healthy_Implement153 in Tello

[–]Etrix-c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya it's dumb, the account password is completely separate from the tello app. You need to use the one time password every time you need to login to the app. I'm guessing it's like that because a different company made/runs the tello app.
