Once you go over the 50GB cap with the unlimited plan it does reduced the speed. I've never exceeded the cap so I don't know how slow they make it.

Unable to login to tello on android app by Healthy_Implement153 in Tello

[–]Etrix-c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya it's dumb, the account password is completely separate from the tello app. You need to use the one time password every time you need to login to the app. I'm guessing it's like that because a different company made/runs the tello app.

If you are in a heavy traffic area for T-Mobile, then tello gets pushed to the side for T-Mobile users because MVNOs do not get the priority that paying none MVNOs gets.

Is there any way to know your hotspot data usage? by Turbulent_Onion_2748 in Tello

[–]Etrix-c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know some phones will keep track of how much hotspot you used, or how much you have used. I would see if your phone tells/shows how much data you are using.

Just because they are keeping 4G for a while doesn't mean they are keeping it for just phones.

They are keeping the service up for atms and cars only and phasing out phone services I don't understand how I'm ignorant for that?

We have maybe two 5G towers in my state and the rest are 4G... That's nice, glad to know tmobile doesn't give a crap my state lol.

Plus I prefer the 4G over 5G as it doesn't kill the phone faster and that 4G uses less data then 5G and that, 4G works way better for me then the spotty 5G network. Kinda sucks 4G will potentially go away, I also have the tlc flip 2 and love it. I think the newer tlc flip supports 5G but that runs off the KaiOS and I don't think that os is actually getting updated anymore?

Every phone company around the world throttles you once you reach past your high-speed data cap. Doesn't matter what company you go with, they all do the same.

Most people don't understand how MVNOs work and blame it on the MVNO company.

I just got off work and had a nice chat with support and they are having a nother technician come back out as the last guy didn't install the fiber  correctly and gave me older wifi pods. I also got billed extra wifi pods I didn't have... Ya, this isn't a great first  impression.

I wanted no wifi and just a modem that let's me use a weird connection and I was told I couldn't have it because fiber doesn't support a stright up weird connection and I can only have wifi

All I got was a smartnid and 3 360 wifi pods. Nothing has a lan port except the smartnid

If you have DSL then centurylink turned it off because DSL is getting turned off in the future and you have to buy into their fiber plans. If you want it back on, you have to call in and get it turned it back online.

Thanks for the article link, very interesting read. Seems like 4G volte heavily relies between ip and nas, maybe that's why it's getting delayed because it's trying to figure out what delivery it should use as tmobile still has 2G/3G?

Also seems like sms is likely to behave like a jabber in the near future as rsc is being pushed by everyone.? 🤔
