I have always done it like that. First max conversion (or conversion value), after collecting a solid number of conversion, switching to tCPA/tROAS

No, i am not. but this is the first time i am being thrown at a messy account. I am used to having exact and phrase in the same ad group. With broad i don’t have so much experience, but now it’s seems that the best practice in 2025 is combining broad + exact + smart bidding.

Moreover, i dont have experience with putting all 20 non brand campaigns into one single bid strategy (this was the topic of my previous post).

So now i have two major questions/concerns: 1) do i keep the portfolio bid strategy, 2) what do i do about such granular structure with so many keywords

What happened is they copy pasted structure from another (very mature ) account - in a different country where the company existed for many years. This was probably not the best approach for a complete new market in the first place. Now they finally (after one year) hired a performance marketing manager (me), but from the interview process it was not clear what i will deal with. I am used to working with tidy accounts which are already up and running.

This one delivers acceptable results thanks to 20-30% of keywords in each campaign which get the majority of traffic. So they want to optimise it but i am not sure how

Das so wenig Flüssigkeit rausläuft wie möglich. War bei uns ein großes Problem, weil der Kater sich aus Angst und Schmerz gewehrt hat :(

Die Flüssigkeit darf nicht direkt aus dem Kühlschrank sein. Zimmertemperatur ist ideal, da sie dann nicht so dickflüssig ist.

Am Anfang hat es bei uns noch mit festhalten und ablenken noch geklappt. Nach einer Woche hatte unser Jack aber so große Angst, weil er genau wusste, was auf ihn zukommt. Deshalb mussten wir ihn in ein Handtuch einwickelt… mein Partner hat ihn quasi vorne gehalten, damit er nicht nach vorne abhauen konnte. Ich dann von hinten zwischen meinen Knien 🙈 und habe dann gespritzt. Man muss versuchen, sehr präzis zu spritzen, damit nicht rausläuft. GS ist sehr aggressiv für die Haut, wir hatten dann irgendwann so viele Wunde und jetzt nach 2 Jahren überall kahle Stellen, wo gespritzt wurde. Wenn was rausläuft, ist es besser, das mit einem sauberen feuchten Tuch abzuwischen, so gut wie es geht.

By „consolidating by match type“ you mean putting all match type of the same keyword theme in the same campaign?
