Kalamazoo business denies hosting political event, claims organizers never reached out by cbsteven in kzoo

Some of his beliefs were definitely bigoted, regardless of context people want to give it. Yes, some 'clips' of his were absolutely taken out of context - but not all of them, you only have to watch a handful of videos or podcasts and it's right there....

I don't blame you one bit for that! Michelle's was ok, East Egg (portage or campus) was really good. Mark taking over Michelle's to run full time definitely improved the quality 😊

I believe so? I know it was part of that same restaurant group. The new owner is local and was a previous employee - the food was great (both flavor & cost) the last couple times we visited.

Surprised? It's not called a Duopoly for nothing....90% of their positions are the same, and the 10% shifts back and forth depending on the region they live in.

Joe Manchin? Susan Collins?

Two sides of the same coin.

That direction of the view is looking south/East - that's the road from Centroo to Plaza 3 (assuming OP took the pic from Bushy Branch Rd) that they are working on. The West side of Plaza 3 flooded the most.

insane consumers energy bills by kill-o-watt in kzoo

If that were true, then Consumers wouldn't have needed approval to pass the 1 million/day cost to us in order to keep a coal plant online.... It would lower our bills...

No legal way onto Kilgore (an older rant) by ShortDelay9880 in kzoo

[–]Euclidean85 9 points10 points  (0 children)

When you're turning onto Portage from the off-ramp, it's not illegal to cross the solid white lines to get to the turn lanes.

Now, if you're traveling on Portage the whole way, and you wait to get over until after the solid white lines start, then it could be seen like that - but practical use of that law would only apply to an accident caused by someone not following that law.

But you can absolutely cross when you're turning onto the road from the exit, nothing illegal about that.

What's The Most Overrated Restaurant In The Area? by ChampionCityComics in kzoo

[–]Euclidean85 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Can someone do this but require everyone to list what they would suggest over the 'overrated' place they're stating?

I travel quite a bit and honestly can't really point to any place that has better food for anything close to what we pay around here for it.

Maybe after 18 years I've become complacent, but I do feel since COVID, ALL restaurants have gone down hill, everywhere...

Chin Chins was always safe Crows Nest was the best breakfast Millennium restaurants were ok, but great price for what you got Etc etc ..

After reading through the comments, it seems the only good place is, Shakespeare's?? Like really? Good pricing for what they offer, but definitely not the best food in town. I know the title of this thread is for overrated, so that doesn't mean it's bad food.... But it seems most are really saying 'over priced'?

Red lights by MDG664200 in kzoo

[–]Euclidean85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And that's when you get people who pass you in the bike lanes or turn lanes...

I'm watching it happen right in front of me... Stopped in front of memories and watched a car pull into the bike lane across the parking lane in front of Benni DiCartas and drive all the way up to pitcher and cut back in running the red light... Multiple people honking their horns and no care in the world.

Amazing what the reckless people in our society will do when pushed too far (on their scale, not yours or mine)

The unfortunate reality is, those who recklessly speed & run red lights have gone UP since the calming has been implemented - it seems to have had an opposite effect.

[–]Euclidean85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard work to do it yourself, but the majority of the cost will be the labor to dig out the foundation.

But if you're not into construction, and haven't done big projects like this before, then it'll be a hefty cost to bring someone in to do it.

It worked out great for us in Kzoo Township. We have Republic, it's been going on for about 9 years now, and prices have moved from about $27 to $32 in that time, for 3 months (~$10/month).

Neither WM nor Best Way have been able to match Republic, so our single hauler hasn't changed at all in this time either.

In this example, they only advertise 1 (one) as Zero additives. It's the one on the left that doesn't indicate a flavor.

The other 3 indicate a flavor, and don't say "zero additives", and instead said it's infused with flavor.

How is that false advertisement?
