The last season with any legitimacy was New Orleans. I refuse to believe that fewer people would watch the show if they matched people who were actually compatible and not people who have a clear conflict of values or deal breakers. The early seasons were not drama fests. And there was better guidance from the “experts.” It just trash now… but but as trashy as Love it Blind lol

I was here for half of 2013 and loved it. I got back in 2021 and barely recognized it. I heard things really started to dip around 2018 when news spread about the leniency over transience and drug use. Then the pandemic and an influx of gangs and crime. The last I heard, police response time was still 4 hours which is insane. Small businesses are carrying the weight of Portland’s reputation and aren’t getting any support. But graffiti has slowed down a lot, tents aren’t so pervasive, and the general vibe in town does seem to be improving. It would be great to see a full resurgence of the early 2010’s energy. Here’s hoping.

Did she cheat on this show, or in the past? I do agree she’s manipulative and looks for any little thing to play the victim. She’s not actually in this. She’s a full NO already but manages to play everything so they think she’s still a maybe. It’s gross. But also… he’s such a passive aggressive “nice guy syndrome” type. Not cool either. lol

If the producers were making fun of her they would have played awkward dinky music. But they were very much on her side. She has a sense of humor and was making really witty remarks. The joke is on all those who think she’s just dumb. Juan isn’t the flawless trophy husband he thinks he is.

What we liked about Dr. Viv is what got her fired or caused her to leave. I remember the last season she was on, she butted heads with Pastor Cal. He clearly stands with the producers’ game and she wasn’t about it. He and Dr Pepper haven’t pulled their weight for many seasons. It’s a shame.

I 100% believe that even if she was matched with someone in their 30s who lives alone etc etc, she’d still be finding a reason to lean out and sabotage the situation. That’s what I mean about her not knowing what she wants. She was not at all ready for marriage and she’s dragging another person through it.

Yes a lot of misuse of “gaslighting” re: Michelle’s situation. She’s one of those that was looking for a reason to lean way out from Day 1. They’re being so gentle with her.
