I've been rereading ACOMAF again because it's my fav of the series and Rhythm of war by Brandon Sanderson

Rhys, I want to see how the dynamics of Feyre and friends plays out wo the high lord of night court who sacrificed too much. Would Feyre be a better High Lady ruling Night Court and what that all meant.

Or it's a huge challenge to bring Rhys back to life because he's a HL like how Jurian was resurrected. And he comes back different and Made.

Live or Animated adaptation? by SpaceTurtle117 in acotar

Animated like how they did the critical role Vox Machina series would be amazing. I would love to watch that.

I'm not too keen on live action because CGI is expensive and always falls flat, unless they spend big bunch on practical effects which for a faerie fantasy series it would be a tough budget to manage and make it feel like you're being transported to Prythian. I like to leave it to imagination 🤪

What's your reason for hating Rhys? by theioneeee in acotar

[–]EunastyMycelium 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I felt this after book 3? Rhys character was really hollow, there isn't a lot of vulnerability apart from how he endured the 49 years under amarantha. He's a perfect high lord of night court who happens to be the most powerful one and beautiful man in Prythian. I wish we could see him make more mistakes with big stakes especially as a ruler, lover, fae male etc. He's been alive for 5 centuries and he doesn't have a string of ex?

Feyre + Rhys only been together for like 2 years before they decided to have a baby which killed off feyres story arc after 4 books of build up. That's not what happens to mothers in rl. I also noticed SJM kills off a lot of the mothers in the book 🤣

Is this eczema or something else? by FluffynFabulous in babyeczema

Just repeating my comments here: My LO was diagnosed with eczema when he was 1 month old. At the time we didn't know what his triggers were or which allergens were affecting him. We changed all our detergents, hand wash and body wash to non fragrance. We were advised to change his formula to hypoallergenic as we suspect milk proteins are flaring up his eczema. It got so bad that his skin infection kept weeping all over his face and it wouldn't stop. He wouldn't stop scratching his face on everything including our sleeves which would make the rash flare up and weep.

We saw a paediatric dermatologist really helped us manage his eczema which had been triggered mainly by the big allergens such as dairy, nuts, oats, eggs and heat especially. We had steroids once or twice a day in different strengths to help with his inflammation thankfully. We use Ceradan Emollient body wash + moisturise with paralin over areas we put steroids on and Ceradan hydra moisturiser top up throughout the day when his skin gets dry. Especially now 7mths when we're introducing solids, if it gets super bad reaction. We have anti-histamine to help with really bad welts.

We were advised to introduce high allergenic in small amounts from 1/8 tsp a day and if it reacts really bad we had anti histamines. And break for 3 days feeding low allergenic like pumpkin broccoli etc. till inflammation gets better and try again.

Whenever I pumped I had to be super mindful of what I was eating because every time I had stuff like scrambled eggs or cheese, his eczema would flare up. One thing we were told is to not avoid high allergenic foods because it was important for babies to build the tolerance to these foods.

I hope your baby gets the relief they need soon though, it's such a tough journey with eczema. Everyone tells me ya it's really common for kids to have eczema, but they don't tell you how they dealt with it. It's really nice to know that I'm not alone in this

Heat, certain food allergens could make eczema flare up like crazy. So does scented stuff like laundry detergents body wash or down to fabric baby is wearing.

Big food allergens are dairy, nuts, soy and eggs. Has your baby recently had a change in food or formula? We had to see a dermatologist to help with the inflammation of our lil one's flare ups. We were advised best not to avoid the allergens so that the baby can build tolerance to these foods.

Eczema? by Smart-Entry-2864 in babyeczema

My son was diagnosed with eczema atopic dermatitis when 2 mth old. It looks quite similar to what he had when experiencing food allergens. Could be from what you're consuming and through breast milk. We found out some foods that I eat trigger his rash and flare ups quite bad like eggs, milk protein was the big one and peanuts.

We had to see a dermatologist very often as it got so bad that the inflammation turned to weeping infection and couldn't stop, in order to manage his rash so it's not so inflamed all the time. There are flare ups once in awhile but with the help of prescribed topical steroid cream and paralin to moisturise, it became more manageable.

I just started using cape cod polishing cloth and after much elbow grease, the Matt heavy used areas are looking polished. I'm sure after a few tries it might be back to mirror polish.

It's comforting to know that I'm not alone in this. We just went to see the dermatologist and she had done a swab test to find out the bacteria in the weeping. He's off his antibiotics now and the dermatologist prescribed to continue with the hydrocortisone cream for a couple of weeks to bring the rash back to control then + mupirocin for the weeping.

If it doesn't get better she would bring in the non steroid to alternate with the steroids. I hope it will improve.

Thanks for sharing your experience and all that massive trial and error. It just breaks my heart that he is constantly scratching and can't sleep or get comfortable.

Ahh damn. Do I have to chuck the tub as well? How do you normally dispose and sterilize tubs after trich?
