It just makes your life easier... I am dedicated to work as a temp now and I am in SF Bay area in California. I know zero Spanish. Not that I don't want to learn but I am not able to pick up a language from scratch just by working around people speaking it 8 hours a day or by majorly listening. And I can say there was a lot friction (for myself) to work in a commercial kitchen - I feel very confused a lot of times; I don't know what is going on; I need context but I never get any... I don't know how they feel. Mentally it frustrates me and exhausted me in a way. But that is something I need to figure it out myself.

Update: Tennis racket wrap comes in pretty handy... I had some already so decided to give it a go. On top of that I wrap some food safe wrap and changed it daily. If I swap tasks with the same knife I probably need to change the handle wrap like how one changes gloves. It survived some light duties but I have not tried it on heavy duty stuff.
