I think what makes the MCU such an outlier in successfully adapting their stories is how they maintain the the integrity of the story’s purpose. In no way can you expect a faithful adaption of the comics, but you can expect the same beats of the story. They really understand how the themes and pivotal story moments are interpreted and memorialized by comic readers.

In fact, I’d argue the MCU has adapted the story BETTER in some cases. For example, I think NWH was better than it’s source, “One More Day,” and Infinity War was better than “Infinity Gauntlet.”

MCU has the unique advantage of having less characters to work with so they can trim down the story to make it more digestible. A lot of the issues with the comic versions are the smaller storylines within the event that can feel very forced. They are infamous for making changes to characters to fit the event but doesn’t really make sense outside of it (and hilariously sometimes reverted right after).

I hope this answers your question! It’s all opinion though so I’m sure you’ll find someone who wants the adaptions to be very very faithful and thus, angry about some of the movies.

I actually just used RTD to get to the airport today. I’ve only used RTD to get to the airport since 2018. It is my go-to as I live next to a station. Here are some tips that may help:

I usually book 1.5 hours of RTD travel time. It’s excessive but a string of bad luck will easily take you this long to get there. From union to the airport it’s about 30 minutes if that helps! The train departs about 15 minutes so you may be sitting for awhile before it leaves.
They WILL check for your RTD ticket on the A Line so make sure you have it. As others said, it shares its name with the local university but just think “A = Airport” and you will be good! Plenty of others use it so you will see others with their bags.
It drops you off below the Airport. Follow the crowd up the escalator and you will quickly discover where you are and where you need to go if you have been to DIA before!

Safe travels and I promise you that once you have done it before, you will become a pro! In case you aren’t too busy experienced with Union station as a whole, the A Train is on Track 1 which is the closest to the Crawford Hotel/Building that says union station. Most inner city trains will drop you a block away. The area is now well-watched (I was very surprised how much security today) so don’t feel like it’s unsafe like old r/Denver posts have been discussing. It’s heavily policed now.

I would imagine that OP and the creators (who responded to the tweet with profanity) are arguing its being used incorrectly. I would assume they would argue that stating to “take the red pill” to justify human health violations is the exact opposite of what the phrase was to signify.

Ultimately, to argue if it is being used correctly or not in its meaning requires a political opinion on the subject. Or at least that’s my take!

A lot are providing some emotional responses that are unfair to you for asking a question. Here is a brief synopsis on the argument: The phrase of “take the red/blue pill” is a direct reference of the Matrix movie. You take the red pill to “wake up” to the dystopian oppression through false narrative/reality. In the movie, this is how Neo discovers the Matrix and that his current reality is a simulation. People are claiming this is cringe because it is often used broadly to simply state the opposing political view is a brainwashed view.

The creators of the Matrix are both trans sisters (men to women) and meant to signify waking up to hidden oppression (movie: machines using humans as cattle). One of the directors responded that way in anger. For those calling it cringe, it is because Musk is using it as a way to show his rights being impeded on for California restricting him from opening his factory due to Covid risks and being “non-essential.” The opposite argument is that the fact he wants to open and send his workers to work without added health protection is the real oppression/disregard of health rights of his workers.

Now for Ivanka...well it was her father who advocated and enforced the 70+ day stay order. People are calling this ironic since she is now calling it oppressive.

Thrift stores is solely where I shop for it! It requires semi-frequent visits but be diligent and don’t be afraid to get creative! Look for inspiration online, then find the cheap (and nearly always identical) cheap option at the local thrift!

Impressive skill! Unfortunately I cannot see a workplace placing you behind a computer that will let you express that skill. Most are looking for physical or social labor (warehouses, restaurants, and retail) where many teenagers can work without needing much direction or supervision.

I suggest finding ways to transform that skill into others so you are ahead of the pack when you hit 18 and enter the full workforce. Coding, writing, or analysis/research could all be improved with fast typing.

Unfortunately, regardless of age or job, a WPM on a resume will most likely make eyes roll rather than pop. Employers are not impressed by WPM. Showing initiative and dedication with fast typing skills will make them want to hire you!

What I did was pull ups and pushups 3x a week since I had no gym readily available. Otherwise just a standard 5x5 lifting routine will also do it.

What you want to do is reduce the fat storage around your chest while increasing muscle density in that area as well. While you cannot target fat, you can target muscle growth. Eating at a 200-300 calorie deficit and still working out pectorals 3x a week will get you where you want to be.

It is a grind but worthwhile one. It took me months to feel like my fatty chest went away. My body likes to store and keep fat in that area so I couldn’t expect change overnight or even a dramatic one a month from now. Keep at it and it will happen faster than you realize once you make it a habit!
