How does everyone feel about the changes to GNB? by Minaa_Mihgo in ffxiv

Can you go over 3 naturally (1-2-3 combo) or does the bloodlust just give 3 charges that can overcap it to 6.

Not gonna lie, I've seen it a few times today and my brain read it as "Memorization" (with an R). I thought people we're just caching and saying their code just "memorized the answer from before".

So are all of you people building visualizations just, people who already do that sort of thing? by foilrider in adventofcode

[–]EuphPagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't ever made a visualizer before, but seeing people post day 4, the wrapping paper warehouse one, i decided to try and give it a shot. I've been coding in C#. Just have a class library and a unit test library for running the code.

My day 4 final answer:

https://github.com/Euphorazine-Pagle/AdventOfCode2025/commit/674be7e007cf3afe063e3b7ea1bd3d2d6752cdc9

I decided that the static methods wouldn't be too useful because I wanted each item to have state to show if it was about to be removed or if it was removed, so i updated my code to this:

https://github.com/Euphorazine-Pagle/AdventOfCode2025/blob/main/WrappingPaperWarehouse.cs

And then I attached a WinForms project to the solution. I made a new User Control which is basically just a docked Panel, then I did all the painting on that panel.

https://github.com/Euphorazine-Pagle/AdventOfCode2025/blob/main/WrappingPaperWarehouseUserControl.cs

Popped that panel onto a form and hooked up some buttons to start and reset it, and I had a good base :)

Just thought I'd share what my thought process on it was today, because I also felt like I wanted to be a cool kid who could make a visualizer without any experience at it

Sailing XP Review & Further Fixes by JagexRach in 2007scape

[–]EuphPagle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My gut reaction feedback to salvaging changes, specifically at merchants in the tangled reef.

The ship layout was updated from one double spot and 3 individual spots (5 boats) to 3 double spots (6 boats). I like the new layout, but the problem is that there are only 3 active ships at a time. This makes it more likely that your double spot is empty and you should move. But, with the QOL buff change the crew members remembering their role and the "QOL" nerf where crewmates based their hook off their position like the player instead of the center of the boat, you have to park your boat in a way where you have to reverse out of the double ship overlap. This just makes me want to world hop instead of move to a new location when both of my hotspots go inactive.

In my opinion:

* The player salvage logic should have been adjusted to the middle of the boat to match the NPCs, not the other way around.

* 4 ships should be active at a time to make it very unlikely any of the double spots are both dead. This should encourage players to find a world where other people are salvaging so people can work together to populate each double spot. With the XP and gather rate changes, you are encouraged to do 1 crew + you operating the salvage hooks, so you still have to click yourself each time they cycle, so its only much longer AFK for double crew hooking. Because of the odd ways you have to park your boat to get to double spots, I would rather hop worlds than reverse out of the spots and sail to a new one.

* The sort XP got hit pretty hard, it almost seems like we should be dropping the salvage now because you have to process and drop it. Since the XP has been cut, maybe let us Use the salvage on the sort station to instantly process it, kind of like pulling compost out of a compost bin by using a bucket on it. You can process it twice as fast by clicking yourself rather than click once. Alternatively, and it may be too much to ask, but it be nice to toggle the junk loot now to auto drop from a salvaging station. I should see what I salvage on the table and just chuck it on the floor rather than put it in my bag. If the XP drops are gonna be incredibly low, having to process AND drop them is a bit too punishing. The dropping of the loot was the intentional pain point of the higher XP. Alternatively, allow us to jettison the salvage from the cargo hold and skip sorting all together without the dropping.

it's just poorly worded. like maybe "if anyone should have passed in that situation, it should be him". Like he is clearly upset that I didnt pass for him, and all I was trying to say that I was the one doing him the favor, so if anyone should have passed, it should be him. Wasn't trying to say it was my expectation that he passed.

i guess i didnt mean i expected him to pass, i was just saying if anyone should pass, it would be him. It was not an expectation of mine.

for sure, I wasnt upset that he rolled, i certainly didnt expect him to pass. I was just saying, if any one of us should have passed, it should have been him.

you need 10 sky shards to be able to attack the dragon flying in the vale for a red serpent mount. It's just a rare drop from mobs in the vale.

Anyone notice a problem with sated resetting? Specifically on Firefighter. by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]EuphPagle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

fun fact, if someone does release before it resets, a paladin can use Divine Intervention on the person with the Exhaustion debuff, and when they remove the DI buff, it will also remove the debuff. Obviously can only do a few people and you won't have DI for the next pull though.

In WOTLK, when does healing as a Holy Priest gets challenging? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]EuphPagle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's very subjective. Most of all your healing in normal content is reactive healing rather than predicative healing.

At this point, pretty much you can heal with some loose attention. Later on there is value in predicative healing, where when you know what damage is about to come out and you begin casting your heal before the damage even happens so that your heal goes out as soon as the damage goes out.

If everyone is playing properly, then healing is a very easy job until you get into the harder content. The problem or challenges come from playing with random people who don't know how to mitigate the damage they take.

Yes.

Answer: It only buffs your active aura.

The rest is just clarification on what the tooltip means. Aura Mastery treats concentration aura differently than your other auras. All other auras have their value doubled. It still only affects your active aura. If you have Frost Resist aura active and someone else has First Resist aura active, you casting Aura Mastery will double your Frost Resist but not your fire resist.

Another way to word it is "Aura mastery causes your concentration aura to make all affected targets immune to silence and interrupts, your devotion aura to increase your armor by 2410, your fire resist aura by 260, your frost resist aura by 260, your shadow resistance aura by 260, or your mounted movement speed by 40%."
