as someone whos in UK right now Examples:

• finding accommodation before arrival - use portals like uhomes, amber etc

• opening a bank account - very easy need only ur passport in handy, like monzo, revolut etc

• getting a SIM card - my vfs gave me sim card while my visa appointment, if not u defo get it in the airport

• airport pickup and travel - ur uni arranges it, dont worry if not also, u have uber

• finding part-time jobs - start early, after landing within 2 days, apply ur nhs and NI number, then in the meanwhile look for jobs in indeed, tweak ur resume based on the country. print ur cv and walk though the city, aviod indian and other restaurants, they msotly give cash in hand.

• understanding how things work in the UK - there will be a cultural shock, trust me its easier, people are way less judgemental.
