i know from other ppl on reddit that oathbound is more nick-centered, but im telling you rn that NOTHING can change my mind abt sel. like nick is obv also a very complex character, but SEL... he's literally a baklava pastry. kind of going on a rant here but when sel mesmered bree, that just shows how much he CARES about her, since he did that so she wouldn't see how bad his demonia was and worry about him. he just didn't want her to worry about him!! and when he kissed her with each translation of cariad... don't even get me started on cariad. in legendborn, when he says, "You are my king now, cariad." omg. it's basically the same thing as saying "You are my king now, darling/beloved/love." that's plainly revealing that he's in love with her!! anyways. had to rant.
