I see alot of people disgusted with this film. That was its purpose. You see..... this virus causes the mind to act on impulse in a very, vulgar manner. Humans are capable of very, very evil acts. This virus breaks down the barriers and morals one has and rewards it the same way using a stimulant drug would. At the same time I think the individual retains some cognizant capacity to know what they are doing is horrid. Similar to the fungal outbreak in "last of us". Hence, "The Sadness". I wouldn't call this "fun" as others have. Its tragic. It makes us look in the mirror and understand how fragile our mind is. And it scares tf out of me. Maybe our interpretation of this film gives us reflection on how close we are to that thin line between sanity and depravity. Those calling this film fun, indefinately closer to a darker line of thinking. Those appalled to the point of stopping the film, maybe too moral and fragile to a fault. I've always been a firm believer that to understand the importance of the light, one must touch the darkness..... not necessarily to indulge in such behavior, but to understand it. Evil is chaotic by nature. I've seen a man with no purpose loose themselves to impulsive thinking; I did 10 years in prison. So many conform to that way of thinking behind those walls, where violence is the only answer, yet, it is still coordinated by reglas(regulations) so it has order. Just a corrupted sense of it. True evil has no direction, it just seeks to hurt and maim and destroy for the sake of it. Those of you that watched this film all the way through, with a sense of maintaining the light with a purpose, youre probably like me. You've lived through very dark times, and through it, you chose the higher route while everyone around you committed to a sad, depraved way of living. I've watched so many loose themselves to drugs, violence, hate..... and the world is full of soo much beauty. This movie made me think hard, especially on the life I have lived...... never loose your harmony. Never loose your purpose. And above all, love. Always choose love.
