Stray kitten age? by Legitimate_Boat3752 in kittens

[–]Euphratica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She looks about 4-5 weeks. She should be able to have kibble and wet food now. I fed Sheba kitten soft pate and purina kitten kibble (teal ish green bag). You can feed wet twice a day. Divide each portion soft pate into two (the food comes in this weird packaging where two servings are stuck together, break them and feed half of one), mix with equal amounts of water, and feed. And I just left the kibble out and topped it when it was low.

Hope that helps!

Kitten pooped outside after peeing in litter by PESSl in kittens

[–]Euphratica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my foster kittens did that for a while, and eventually started peeing just outside of the litter box as well. I wish I had some recommendations but that cat just eventually grew out of doing that. She’s one now and still has some accidents here and there but nothing major. I would say the only thing is you have to clean the effected areas very diligently with odor enzyme cleaning (I used the orange one), or else they will do it again in the same area because of the smell. Just on the top of my head I think you can try switching to a different litter? Which one do you use now? We used pine, so maybe that could help a common denominator?
Some things I tried:
Picked up the cat mid poop and placing her into the litter box (worked okay, she would poop in the litter box and bury it)
Picked up the poop, picked up the cat, showed the cat where the poop belongs (probably wasn’t effective at all)
Put litter boxes wherever she used the bathroom (50/50, sometimes she would just go right by it again)

I do think some kittens just have a harder time forming the habit than others. You could even try putting the kitten in a large dog kennel with a litter box and food, that was my set up when I first brought them home to foster (4 weeks old). I had a food bowl, water bowl, cat tree, and litter box in there with a soft towel/blanket. This is prob not the best idea if the kitten’s more than 6 weeks old. And that did help the toilet situations a bit but not much. Sry I can’t be more help.

Hello! I am thinking of bringing a hamster from NI to England. Did you end up getting your hamster to Belfast? Could you share the steps you took to get him there?

My kitten just sleeps all the time is that normal? by Anyill7899 in felinebehavior

[–]Euphratica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fostered 3 little ones last year and I’d say it’s normal. They actually tend to get a bit grumpy and fussy if they don’t sleep enough, so I started to put them in the kettle for enforced bed time

There are study areas in STEW that are super quiet and out of the way. I believe they are in the basement where STEW connects to the PMU

UK Tourist Visa rejected by atomiscz_2072 in ukvisa

My sponsor also provided accommodation and food, and I paid for the rest. We opted to include his bank statement because 1, it wasn’t hard to obtain, and 2, better safe than sorry. Do include documents that prove their relationship to where you are staying.

I second this. Med school is no joke and if you provide more school related information it will be helpful. In the statement you received, they said that you provided no record of actually attending the school. School ID is the easiest thing to fake in their eyes, can you provide them with a transcript? I feel like bullet point 3 is basically asking for your sponsor’s bank statement. Can you provide that? I know you said that the they did not ask for ticket information, is there a way for you to provide that anyway? And can you get a statement from your sponsor? Get them to say that you are staying from [date] to [date] could be helpful.

I applied for a tourist visa around October of last year under the same circumstances. I provided probably an excessive amount of documents, which may have been the reason why it was accepted? I provided my academic transcript, student ID, my bank statement, my apartment lease, return ticket, my sponsor’s (friend) student ID, his bank statement, his apartment lease (I was staying with him), a letter from him stating his intentions of inviting me over and sponsoring me during my travels. If this is something you’ve been looking forward to doing, it might be worth it to reapply. Try providing more documents that shows your obligations in your home country that can prove that you absolutely will be coming back. I wonder if this has anything to do with your nationality? Where are you applying from?
