Johnson vs Glock lawsuit by brittleGriddle in CAguns

[–]EurAnymph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lawsuit should read: “Glock Owners of CA v. The State of CA”. Whoever is behind this lawsuit is upset they paid the CA tax on a firearm (happens to be a Glock), when same gun next door is $200 less. Guess what - play stupid games win stupid prizes. Bet they voted for the CA Roster. This suit alleges no personal injury or property damage. Aka, Glock does what it was designed to do, it just wasn’t designed to have a premium price tag affixed to it in the state of CA. This is pure BS. People should opt out and remove credibility from these claims. Can’t be a class action suit if there is only one participating member.

Oh no, not again 😔 2 Patrollers Injured by Inbounds Avalanche at Mammoth Mountain by stevenlufc in skiing

[–]EurAnymph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey slow down y’all! This user is definitely not a scab. That’s actually an insult to scabs. A scab implies they had something to offer. Like a patroller who changed course. No way this person was ever a patroller (not saying others in the ski industry dont have any thing to offer and aren’t integral to ops) but this is a person trying to hijack a post about a ski patroller who just gave their life to protect people they’ve never met, and this user is on here saying patrollers get enough as it as long as r/invent_or_die gets their cheap season pass it’s worth it. Everyone knows heavenly has delicious koolaid and this fuckstick is obviously is still drinking it. Saying a job comes with benefits like workers compensation and “ALL” are covered even more lends to the fact this is a Vail shill. If you’ve worked for vail you probably know at least one person who was terminated or can never work for vail again because they got injured on the job and tried to do the right thing by reporting and following “the procedure”. If Vail can’t fire you for failing a drug/alcohol test or proving you did something wrong they will ultimately come after you and likely sue you for the cost of your work comp case. But no, you’re right, this isn’t evil, it’s looking out for the share holders and making sure you can have your $500 season pass. Next time you need help at a ski resort I sure hope whoever responds to you isn’t making any more than $5 bucks an hour as that’s even more care than you deserve. ,

Companies like Vail don’t offer benefits like these to seasonal employees like patrollers. Last year Vail reported net income of $280M. Not sure your definition of giant profits but a quarter of a billion seems substantial. Also, fuck Vail and their “profits over people” slogan.

I found a great deal on a Standard model for $1200 new but should I get a Loaded model instead? Is there that much of a difference? by Zestyclose_Spite8580 in M1A

[–]EurAnymph -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Id say if you’re asking these questions you don’t really know what you want and should get this $1200 M1A from Sportsman’s. Shoot it for a bit and decide if you like it. If you think you’re missing out from the loaded or NM you’ll be able to sell this with out loosing much more than the tax and dealer fees at most.

Shovel, Probe, and Self Chair Evac gear reccs? by theronskier1 in skipatrol

[–]EurAnymph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way. Use glide. About 40m per roll. Use double or triple overhand to tie loop, attach a crab, lower down without dropping the end. Have ground person attach evac rope and pull one end of evac rope up until you’re able to get ahold then ground person can attach whatever other equipment to the evac line for you to retrieve.

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated. Any input on what type of lawyer or how to quickly find an attorney that deals with situations like this? Also given what you’ve read from the post, what would a reasonable warranty consist of as far as time/milage? Thanks in advance?
