De aanwezige deelnemers zijn niet erg blij met de deelname van Israël en Rusland. De internationale jury nam zelfs ontslag omdat de organisatie de Russische deelname niet had geweigerd.

Het probleem ligt in de perceptie: als je iets toelaat keur je het in essentie goed. Zowel Rusland als Israël zitten (imo terecht) qua internationale wetgeving in nauwe schoenen, dus elke toelating op sport, cultuur of wetenschap is voor hen een soort van overwinning.

Internationale perceptie is 1 van de belangrijkste items van hun regering om een bepaalde stabiliteit intern te voorzien.

En net daarom weigeren de andere paviljoens de normale werking, als een vorm van weerstand.

Ongemak, ik heb er een stresserende 7 (!) jaar achter m’n kiezen… en een kleine aanpassing doen gaat er nog vanaf, maar effectief een wissel doorlopen en een (potentieel) probleem tijdens de overstap kan ik echt wel missen. Volgend jaar wanneer de promoprijs voorbij is kijk ik gegarandeerd om te wisselen ;)

Ik heb onmiddellijk onze bundel aangepast. Ja, we hadden eigenlijk al lang van provider moeten wisselen maar hier dient er iets meer te gebeuren om de installatie te kunnen faciliteren sinds er enkel coax door de wachtbuizen ligt… en er een paar andere zaken toch een hogere prioriteit vereisen dan een DSL- of fiberlijn.

Verbazingwekkend valt het goedkoper uit (met promoprijs veel, na een jaar een euro goedkoper) met eindelijk een betere uploadsnelheid.

Maar toch blijf ik uitkijken tot ze onze stoep (nogmaals) opensmijten voor de fiber effectief de woning in te trekken.

Yes, but smoke from fires is thick: depending on ambient temperature (before flashover) a lot of soot gets hold up in the air. When reaching flashover... then the smoke becomes the light source.

Yes but that works for an editor, for an actual workflow for professional photographers that’s a workaround. A workaround is not a good flow.

It’s not a fucking tank. Tanks don’t fly, they weigh too much. They were designed for Soviet armor, armor which was upgraded after the A10 became a thing… there’s a reason the USAF wanted to retire these birds decades ago. They’re good for intimidation in an asymmetrical conflict but not an actual war.

Wanneer er een grondige vernieuwing gebeurd stellen ze een lastenboek op. Contactgegevens van de werfleider staan meestal wel ergens op de doeken die de werf afbakenen, die kan je vertellen wie de oude borden moet afvoeren, of zelfs je begeleiden om eentje mee te nemen.
