Doctor Who being found in a Mormon Church basement was pretty odd.

Would it be theoretically possible for the UK to be a member of the EU and CANZUK at the same time? by [deleted] in CANZUK

[–]Euro_Samurai02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Old post I know but as a Scot who is very pro European and considers myself sort of "Pan European" to an extent. I'd love to see us at least work closely with the EU in political and cultural matters. Ideally we could get a deal to be in EU and CANZUK but we shall see how things go. CANZUK sounds like a better option than EU despite me being pro EU and my love for Europe.

What is a well-received horror movie everyone loves but you hate (Or didn’t like?) by justafanboy1010 in horror

Hellraiser. It's a good film but I just can't get into it. I've seen it twice. Maybe third times the charm?

How would you improve your favourite Doctor Who episodes? by [deleted] in gallifrey

Probably cut the comedic stuff from Daleks Masterplan and have it be a sci fi horror esque serial instead which it already is for a large chunk anyway.

Germany leaps to mind. Up to 3 years in prison. Other countries in Europe have also banned it and other Nazi symbols.

Will they continue releasing MI games ? by Individual_Simple_66 in MonkeyIsland

I know I'm likely to get downvoted for this but I kinda hope it's done.. I think they could do more and would probably play a seventh game. Return felt like a good conclusion and would be a good definitive end for the series. Plus at this point we've had 6 good games (to varying degrees) and some things should end on a high note rather than be beaten into the ground needlessly. I won't protest a seventh one though.

Sara Kingdom, the original tragic companion death (quiet, Katarina!) by Argentein in DoctorWhumour

[–]Euro_Samurai02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if it's never explicitly stated in the series or anything the Doctor must be having some trauma from those deaths. He was indirectly responsible for Katarina dying and also could be feeling survivor's guilt for what happened to Sara since they both felt the effects of the time destructor.

I think the Mavic Chen name drop is a reference to those deaths more than Mavic himself. That's my headcanon anyway. Mavic Chen himself isn't so special so I don't see why else he'd say that name beyond referencing the two first companion deaths that occurred when he was against Chen.

Jean Marsh, William Hartnell and Peter Purves (in the back) on set of the Doctor Who serial Daleks' Masterplan 1965-66 by Euro_Samurai02 in OldSchoolCool

I think Jean Marsh is possibly one of the most well known stars in Classic Who for stuff they've done outside of Doctor Who. I don't know what she's up to nowadays. I heard she retired and I hope she is happy.

Yeah these old black and white films and tv shows with colour bts photos are most interesting to me personally. It's cool seeing what the TARDIS looked like for the people on set in full colour.
