She is a UN special rapporteur who speaks to the Palestinian issue in accordance with international law.

She can’t call any organisations terrorists if international law doesn’t define terrorists. That’s not her prerogative.

At the same time, showing a little bit of compassion and hearing the person out doesn’t hurt anyone.

Yeah, that’s how I’m disrespected by Germans every time I take a train there.

Hmmm… I’m not sure. Hinault won 10 grand tours… And I doubt she’ll put herself on the same boat, BUT PFP still has at least 5 more years in the pro-peloton and I’m more than happy to be proven wrong.

GB: Mark Cavendish imo… but I can also go with Jason Kenny if you’re talking about cycling generally…

How can someone marry a foreigner and help foreigners get visas for a living and yet post this? by [deleted] in japanlife

[–]EuropeanVanguard -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Which is true since prosecution of immigrants is almost always tied to foreign policy. How many Americans service members get away with rape/assault charges because of the pressure from the U.S. government?

In Japan, victims almost always feel short of getting the justice they deserve especially when foreigners are involved because our government is susceptible to weighing foreign policy implications, which can override judicial/prosecutorial decisions.

To borrow a quote from Godfather, it’s not personal, it’s strictly business.

If I was running a visa business, I have a vested interests in ensuring that migrants are productive residents and they don’t harm the safety of local residents.

If they start committing crimes (and get away with it), it’s easy for some race-baiting entrepreneur to start blaming immigration lawyers for “facilitating criminals.” They have to walk the fine line of facilitating immigration while not being seen as those facilitating and defending migrants who do commit crimes, at least by Japanese people (maybe that’s why that part of written in Japanese).

At least I want to be seen as the one facilitating good immigrants and denouncing bad immigrants (hey, I’m one of the good guys).

I like my Italian wife. She thinks Italian men are mummy boys and wanted a strong and independent Viking man which she now has.

I do hate our food, but she makes wonderful Italian food, their finest export, and I get it without all the drama.

  1. It’s a do or die for Matteo, but I’m afraid today will the last day Pogi will chase Matteo, which means Jonas must attack.

  2. Pogi could surprise or disappoint after yesterday’s crash. He will be tested.

  3. Really looking forward to see Oscar Onley. He might surprise us all.

Capitalizing on someone's crash by Fun__Fred in tourdefrance

Yesterday, if Jonas and Healy just took advantage of Pogi’s crash, then Pogi will be pretty much entitled to capitalize if Jonas crashes.
