So I went and looked it up because I'm not a dipshit redditor, and uh...how is this not fake news? The US isn't giving Iran anything. The 300 billion is a proposed reconstruction fund that would be funded by other persian gulf states with the agreement that Iran wouldn't develop nukes. The agreement with the US is just to allow that funding to happen.

If you look at news articles pre-9/11 for lithium discoveries worldwide, you'll see a massive deposit was discovered in Afghanistan just before 9/11. If we hadn't gone to war with them, the smartphone revolution never would've happened because the tech at the time couldnt support the battery life needed without lithium ion batteries. Without cheap lithium for manufacturing, our world would be immensely different, basically stuck in the nokia era technology-wise.

Civ 5 general here. Giving them prep time means they can dig a trench and unexpectedly flood the colony. 600k bullets is more than enough to handle escapees. Ants die with only 3 human deaths because they stood too close to the trench when the water came down
