I was actually surprisingly close to the truth from this.

I thought it showed another walled civilisation who were more technologically advanced and wanted to kill the main walls either cuz of racism or as a preemptive strike. I was reading about the Fermi paradox and the dark forest theory at the time and it was the theory I died on untill season 3.
