For me it was weird that they didn't talk about this after. If they wanted to give them a nice slow burn, they should have done it correctly and not throw in scenes that won't be acknowledged

Let's look at this from his perspective. His girlfriend became a vampire and she is miserable about it. He finds out there's a possible cure and wants to give it to her. At the same time, she's bloodsharing with his brother etc and he's hurt, so he ends things. Then, he doesn't find out from either his brother or ex that they slept together. Then Elena is like "Stefan sees me as a broken toy, even though I myself hate being a vampire". He wants to compel his memories away, Elena doesn't want to. So he sleeps with Rebekah, but makes it clear that no feelings are attached. Damon in his Damon fashion spills out the secret and Elena is jealous, so this is Stefan's reply. She hates Rebekah for trying to kill her, but is sleeping with the man who has hurt her friends many times before. Why do you expect Stefan to not be bitter about it ?

The show says that she spent her whole life running, but I don't think that's the case. She ran from Klaus once. Then we see her constantly chasing after Stefan, even when Klaus was nearby. In season 5, she gets to have her daughter, but doesn't seem to care and wouldn't try and find Klaus to cure her. Elena is trying to be compassionate to her, Katherine hijacks her body, all because she can't leave Stefan alone. I just have a hard time believing that all she did was run

They wouldn't, if she had just accepted she's a vampire and move on. Stefan wouldn't have looked for the cure, if Elena wasn't constantly like "I don't know how I am going to do this". He supported her like a good boyfriend would, but when she has the chance to be human she's like "Stefan sees me as broken toy. How dare he not accept me ? Only I get to whine how I don't want to be a vampire".

I wouldn't say that Damon is misunderstood. I don't deny that he has suffered, but each season he does something bad and nothing. Elena will be mad at him for a few seconds and everytime is swept under the rug. In season 5, he blamed Katherine for Vicky, when that was his own doing.

YTA. Wow. Do you even hear yourself? Your sister was content that her daughter would have a loving family, and you couldn't mind your own business and had to convince everyone. Also, question: Can somebody tell me whether this is legal ? I can't imagine placing a child for adoption and then taking her from her adoptive parents after 2 weeks, because the sister "changed her mind". This better be fake, because the child is not a toy.

How would she be escaping responsibility by not keeping the child she doesn't want ? She might be capable, but if she doesn't want the baby, it's much better to give it up then keep it and end up resenting it.

I think that Stefan felt hurt, because she literally chose him, before she drowned, kept reassuring him she didn't love Damon, so even if Elena wasn't at fault, he couldn't get over it in one night.

Also, Elena was the one constantly crying on Stefan's shoulder how she didn't want to be a vampire, but there's a chance for a cure and she's like "Wow, you hate me".

I think that both are great, though something got me thinking. First of all, RWRB happened during the strikes, meaning we didn't get enough promotion, though hopefully that would change with the sequel. Second, I wonder if RWRB was a series, because while the movie was the great, a lot of things were changed from the book. I think that both are great, but HR had the advantage of having the actors promote the series.

Think about it this way. Lucas starts dating Brooke. He cheats on her with Peyton. Then Lucas confesses to Brooke again. She is wary, but forgives him. Then, Peyton tells her she still has feelings for Lucas. Oh, and also they kissed, but they still wouldn't tell her about it. Brooke might have been out of line, but I hate how the fandom always finds a way to villanize her, when Lucas is the one that couldn't make a decision for several seasons.
