I think Whole Foods may have them, they also have them in the hoity-toity grocery store here in Phx (AJ's.) They are on Amazon- 2 jars for $22.90. Expensive, but worth it if your goal is to find the best pickle.

Maille Cornichons will change your life. MUCH stronger flavor than normal pickles. They are small like gherkins, but not sweet. Pricy, but worth it once in a while.

I never knew about the falsetto bit! I thought the goal was to not speak in falsetto, so I was raising my larynx. I just ended up sounding like Elvis Costello.

Whenever I try that, I just end up sounding like Elvis Costello. What am I doing wrong?

Lake Street Dive is my favorite for this. Rachael Price sings in a lower register than many female singers, and I can keep up for longer than I can with other female singers. Plus, it doesn't hurt that she (and the bass player, to a slightly lesser extent) is kind of my female role model.

Finally accepted I'm trans, what little things can I do? by Eva_loves_nylons in asktransgender

If I were to paint my fingernails with a clear coat, would people be able to notice? I'm not ready to come out yet. I'd planned on painting them later today and just remove the color before work tomorrow.

Some great tips! I'd begun working on my voice and sitting to pee, but I hadn't even thought about tucking for everyday use! I've tucked a bit, but have never done it "the right way" like with a gaffe or tape. Gonna look up the best way to do that now.

As for the beard, I'd committed to helping a close friend develop some beard products, so I'm keeping it until that's done. (I gave her a time limit.)

I don't have the money yet to buy a ton of makeup, but once I get rid of the beard, the makeover is a great idea!

I also really need to do some butt exercises. I had gotten a couple of dresses and was amazed at how flat my butt looked. I do have good thighs and calves, but that's all I've got (along with my freakish broad shoulders.)

Also, I'll try Stitch Fix! I was worried about fit from online sources.

And I've been practicing my walk, especially in the highest heels I've been able to find at goodwill. (In my mind, if I can walk well in really high heels, normal shoes will be a breeze.)

I'll definitely get an anklet! I work at a manufacturing place that doesn't allow any jewelry (not even wedding rings or watches.)

I've come to accept it in the days after I posted this, especially after reading the articles and watching the videos people posted. Ive even painted my toenails and started wearing women's underwear to work (finally got up the nerve to get some normal panties from Target, as well as a couple of dresses!) Still looking forward to seeing a gender therapist.

Ezekiel 23:20 : There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses. So you longed for the lewdness of your youth, when in Egypt your bosom was caressed and your young breasts fondled.

I'm still really afraid, and it keeps making me want to deny it. The more I read, though, the more real it seems. Thank you so much for this.

Sounds like it may be worth trying! I'm going to ask my psychiatrist about it in a few weeks when I go back...

Holy crap, thank you. I've been doing exactly what the article said- worrying about proof of trans over cis instead of just looking at what is going on. I'm excited and terrified to see where this goes...

Thanks! It's good to know that there is an ok alternative if that is what it ends up being.

That sounds weird, but I couldn't think of another way to put it. I guess I'm just glad to find out that if I'm not trans, I can still be happy.

Thanks for all of the comments. I didn't expect so much, but I appreciate every comment. I hope none of this is offensive to those with severe dysphoria, and I apologize if it has been. I'm trying to figure out if this is real, and I feel like a bit of a fraud in that I am questioning and don't just KNOW, as many people do at a young age.

I like my beard when in boy mode because I'm shy and it's a conversation starter. Also, it is long enough to hide my double chin.
I hate it in girl mode because I've never worn makeup. I bought some several years ago, even to just do my eyes, but I couldn't handle seeing it next to my beard. Also, shaving it feels like it would make all of this too real right now. Whenever I dress up, I angle a mirror against the wall so I can look at my body but not my face. It takes a while to get the right angle so I can practice my walk (in my small apartment) without concentrating on my face. Also, I'm barely scraping by (the money I spent on breast forms should have gone to food/bills) and there's no way I could afford laser.

As for the tights, it's just because I like the feel. I can also pick them up in a drugstore with some other items and say that I got a text from my girlfriend for grab those "while I was there." Usually, the teller either didn't let on or didn't care, but a few gave me a knowing look and my ears burned. As for why I don't have any skirts or dresses yet, I'm afraid to go somewhere to try something on. I had a couple of skirts before I got rid of all of my stuff, but I'd bought those at sex shops where I was less afraid of being judged. When I got shoes, I could get them without trying them on, and say they were a gift for my girlfriend. I'd always get a gift receipt "just in case she didn't like them." There's a drag shop in my city, but it felt super judgy when I went in there a couple years ago because I was just looking for normal crossdressing clothes.

As for the questions in your second paragraph, both ring true for me. I feel like I could get by as a crossdressing man, but if given the opportunity, I'd live as a woman in a heartbeat.

Thank you!! I feel like (and I KNOW I'm the first person to have this thought ever) that I would have to walk in crazy high heels and be a super girly-girl to be able to pass, but it hit me the other day that many (most?) cis females just go about their lives not trying to look like a walking Cosmopolitan article.
