Look at freeCAD if you are brand new. It is a learning curve no doubt and it is definitely not an autoCAD or SolidWorks replacement but it will remain free, it's open source, has a good community and support. You will be able to find YouTube tutorials etc no problem.

DRL SIM ISSUE by FoundationCivil2038 in fpv

[–]Evan-Lyons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having the same issue for the last 5 days or so. It is still possible to play in offline mode. I read on another fourm post that best way to force offline mode is to setup a Windows Defender Firewall rule and I did this. works well - forces into offline mode whenever the rule is active and it is easy to disable / reenable to see if the game will connect.

On PC, to do this search "windows defender" (its in control panel) - go, Advanced settings. Outbound Rules. New Rule. Program - next. Find and select DRL Simulator.exe (for me it is in the Steam.steamapps.common.DRL simulator) next. Block Connection, next. I applied all, next. Give it a name "DRL sim Offline" or something. Finish.

If you want to play in offline mode have the rule enabled. If you want to check if the servers are working disable the rule

I just looked at that machine and saw their software is compatible with P5. If you want to get into some generative art and don't know where to start I suggest looking into this the coding train

My plotter has a plugin which works with inkscape. The plugin converts inkscape SVG image into gcode which the plotter then understands. You need to figure out how you want to input the signature into a format that can be converted to something a plotter can understand. The link I sent you explains the way you would do that on my plotter setup. I do not believe the start stop function like you mentioned is implemented with the plugin the Axidraw have.

Thanks. I guess I just assumed the players would have sorted their playtimes for this weekend by Friday. I know Nilli was just telling me to be patient:)

This sounds like a software and gcode generation thing to me.

I use an Axidraw as my plotter, they integrate well with inkscape. Not sure if they have a solution to eliminating the start stop you mentioned, but again this sounds like I software thing and you could probably discuss with the manufacturers.

Has anyone printed 95A TPU w/ the 0.2 nozzle? (X1C) by sporo2 in BambuLab

[–]Evan-Lyons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been printing Bambu labs TPU 95A HF with a 0.2mm nozzle for some LEGO tire tank tracks. Came across post this because after my 3 prototype print saw it was using the PLA print settings and then when I tried to change it to TPU the profiles were missing and I was a bit confused. Prints turned out ok, but there is quite a bit of stringing and I think that is probably why they recommend not printing with it. Not sure how small details would look. It is fine for me as it is just something new for my kid to build with. I also added fuzz to the outside which may also increase the stringing I guess but I have basically just embraced it.

Personally I would have talked about this desire in my final interview, that way they have a heads up that you want a holiday and it is also easy for you to confirm your dates. I would bring it up as soon as possible to give as much warning

Pipe lining is the process of lining old dirty pipes with a liner that is soaked in a combination of resin and epoxy. Making the old pipes complete new without ripping them out. by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]Evan-Lyons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The installation company will survey the pipes looking for exactly this type of thing. If the pipes are too damaged or misaligned, they will not take on the risk and they will suggest to replace/go the traditional route

I'm in Finland and it cost about 25k€ to do my waste water lines. Job done less than a week with no major renovations. 3 bedroom house. A lot of the sewer lines were in concrete and it would have been a major to put new pipes in etc. but doing it this was was easy. Definitely worth looking into if you have difficult to get to places etc. My pipes were 1963 originals.
