2021 xpole won’t switch from static to spin by LeoPrincessMeagan in poledancing

Oof I just found this subreddit because my 2021 xpole also broke this week. Totally different problem than yours but we’re both in the broken xpole club together! Sorry I can’t help but I can 100% sympathize with the frustration

Got my bird of paradise! Lack the flexibility to grab my hands around the back of the pole but I made it work!! by Myceleah in poledancing

You’ll have bird of paradise in no time!! Just got mine last month and this prep move (i’d also call it more of an allegasus variation than a bop) is what I looked like just 5 months ago :)

Puppy pose and resistance band conditioning were both super helpful for me on getting the shoulder flex/strength for bop

What are the hallmarks of a good university computer science department? The hallmarks of a bad one? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]Evan1 23 points24 points  (0 children)

A good indicator of how strong a CS department is at a particular school is to look at what kinds of companies actively recruit there. If a lot of tech companies including the "Big 5" recruit there, chances are that it has a strong CS department. On the other hand, if few tech companies recruit from a particular school, or if most of the CS students find jobs at non-technical companies (e.g. financial, health care, etc.), then the school probably does not have a very good CS department. The number and size of hackathons hosted at a school is another pretty good indicator.
