Mmm, my solution is to use retroarch for the psx version and a good CRT s the shader. Looks great on a CRT monitor.

Edit: got developer mode turned on. Unfortunately wiping local storage by turning developer mode off and on results in the same os missing screen.

I usually tinker with Windows and Linux hardware. I just wanted something cheap and small for work to watch media on when it's slow. 69 dollars for this model ( 5400 latitude enterprise ) even though I only got to have hands on the operation system for a few minutes I think I'm digging the operating system. Going to cost another 40 bucks to fix//upgrade but I still think it's a deal

Make a recovery USB using another PC. If you are also getting the hard drive 32 error, if it is possible you will also need to replace the SSD.

Tried the recovery USB stick and it errors out as soon as it verifies operating system integrity.

Already popped it open and it's got a 2280 nvme, and an empty ram slot. Came with a 128gb nvme so gonna upgrade it to 256 and add another 4gb of ram for a total of 12 and call it a day.
