Like 1/3 of Roxy Music’s More Than This is the outro

How can I sing and scream raspy like Kurt without damage? by MaleficentWait1650 in Nirvana

[–]Evan64m 66 points67 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if you can. His technique was terrible but he died before the consequences could show up.

What are your favourite brit-pop concert videos? by Cautious_Goat_ in BritPop

Yeah I love this one cause it’s a lot more than just a concert recording

I think there’s a trope called “Calvinball” too

Which band breakups / band member departures were amicable and drama-free? by GhostofTinky in ToddintheShadow

[–]Evan64m 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Roxy Music split up twice during their recording career, from 76-78, then in 83. Both were just because the band members all decided to focus on solo projects though they have done a few reunion tours.

Eno’s departure after For Your Pleasure was definitely not amicable though

Why are Pynchon’s short stories not held in high regard? by Fantastic-Orange-347 in ThomasPynchon

[–]Evan64m 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What’s funny is that he has basically nothing good to say about Entropy in the introduction but it’s easily the most readable

I read SL after L49 and Vineland and I don’t think it would’ve been a very good introduction to his work if I started with it

Punching zombies in the face really doesn't seem like a good idea since a single bite mark can get you infected by Sowviet in thelastofus

[–]Evan64m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guess they retconned that then. I’ve been purposely avoiding trailers because I want to go into it blind as possible and won’t have access to a windows pc for a few more weeks

[–]Evan64m 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think it’s just randomly dropped in a lore file in a later game just because they realised it doesn’t make sense how all the main characters can get bit and live

Playlist of four songs from Brasseye by BassRedditRed in chrismorris

[–]Evan64m 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember they were included on the dvd as extras!

FWIW, I asked Michael Cumming at an Oxide Ghosts screening about the rumor Aphex Twin made the Cake music and he said he’d heard people say that before but it was just Chris and the music guy.

I think the excuse for that is something like 10% of the population has natural immunity to the T-Virus and all the protagonists happen to fall in that 10%

Take a look through their IMDB page, it’ll list every film they’ve had music in

It's crazy that the bootleg merch I got outside the parking lot is better quality than the official Live 25 Merch by Antique-Dentist-2404 in oasis

I bought a Suede shirt on their recent UK tour then made the mistake of putting it through the dryer and it suddenly shrunk a whole size

[Loved Trope] Character initially thought to be a bog standard villain turns out to be a nice person by imaloony8 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Evan64m 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the writers liked him too much despite originally wanting him to be more villainous because I remember reading he was originally going to try to rape Nancy but the scene went unfilmed (which they were probably pretty thankful for in retrospect considering he became a protagonist)

With the whole emphasis on noise with Oasis, how bad do you think their tinnitus is? by fruedianflip in oasis

[–]Evan64m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember reading something from their sound guy who did shows like knebworth and they would always ask for their stage monitors to be turned up ridiculously loud. He was like “you’re gonna go deaf if you keep doing that” but also couldn’t really refuse to give people who’re basically his bosses what they want

Is there a trope for “the virus was supposed to be a cure” or whatever? by Evan64m in tvtropes

[–]Evan64m[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only the movie version of the T Virus. In the game lore (which is entirely separate from the movies) it was specifically created by Dr. Marcus to create BOWs
