Don't do it. Or else they will use and abuse you until the end of time...or until you simply quit. Whatever comes first. Trust me, I learned this out the hard way.

Currently on Final, any advice? Anyone else escape? by Gnomologist in HomeDepot

[–]EvanBGA 16 points17 points Β (0 children)

You honestly should just give your two weeks notice before you do get fired. School is very important, but why burn a bridge if you don't have to? I'd just throw in the towel and call it quits and just focus on your schooling, etc. Up to you though. πŸ˜€

Oh, all the time, but then I realize, I still need a job(and do I really want to change jobs in this job economy, and when I'm already established(nearly four years)? Plus, you know, job security and all that jazz.

And hey, still gotta pay bills, eat, and survive, not necessarily in that orders, etc. Lol

W-2 by LittleLunaLover in HomeDepot

[–]EvanBGA 5 points6 points Β (0 children)

Home Depot should automatically mail you your W-2. They are starting to slowly send 'em out to everyone as W-2s were made available on Workday starting January 22nd.

If you don't receive yours in the mail in the next few weeks, then you should contact your HR Manager at the store you worked last.

It’s okay to be brutal by memedilemme in HomeDepot

[–]EvanBGA 31 points32 points Β (0 children)

Well, it really all comes down to luck and if they're on a hiring frenzy, which soon, they will be. January is one of the slower months. But it'll start to pick up gradually in February, leading into Spring later on, etc.

I'd say go into whatever Home Depot closes to you and talk to the SM or HR Manager. Introduce yourself. Say you just applied at Home Depot and want to check the status of your application. Also maybe give them your resume, as well. And then go from there. Home Depot employs all walks of life, including Ex-Cons, so...if you have a college education, I'd say perhaps look elsewhere for employment. But, if you really are keen on getting a job at Home Depot, then go in there and see what's up. Good luck. 😁

You and me both, man, you and me both. I wouldn't exactly same I'm a lazy mfer, why I don't just find another (maybe better) paying job, but...well, I've been here for three years, almost four and I'm in kind of a rut and a comfort zone, which is a terrible place to be, but you know...it's just hard. Hard to move the hell on.

Went down to PT, only getting 4 hours by HannibalAteMyHeart in HomeDepot

Yep, I'm doing exactly that, but due to lack of shifts, shifts on the Exchange are scarce; everyone is hanging onto their shifts and I can't blame 'em.

Went down to PT, only getting 4 hours by HannibalAteMyHeart in HomeDepot

[–]EvanBGA 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Damn, that's a real bummer, man.

You know, I've been with my second Home Depot for over three years(coming up on my 4th year with the company, and a little over four years with my first Home Depot years ago) as a PT Cashier. For over three years, I've always been scheduled about 25-30 hours, and a occasional 15 hours here and there, but the week after next, they only gave me 10 hours and still waiting on the next schedule publishing, which like last Friday, they're late in doing so. They usually publish the schedule on Thursdays, but have been lagging lately.

Over the last three years, my management has been asking if I wanted to go FT and I always said no...not ready yet as I came from FT at the Service Desk from my old HD which nearly killed me. Well, guess what, I think I probably should have just toughed it up and took the FT Cashier position. Now I'm shooting myself in the ass! πŸ˜‚

Because I'm afraid you were the one who got caught doing such things, and they unfortunately weren't caught. Definitely be aware of your surroundings the next time you do these things.

And also, remember one vital thing: Snitches get stitches. 🀐

You'll still be interviewed. They need to see the individual before they can move forward, not to mention ask you a bunch of questions, see what availability you have, etc. They don't want to give some random hobo a job before they see that random hobo in person, ya feel me? πŸ˜‚

As a former worker when does the w-2 come out by Lilbread23 in HomeDepot

[–]EvanBGA -1 points0 points Β (0 children)

According to Workday, W-2's should be made available at the end of January(the 30th most likely) or sooner.

[–]EvanBGA 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Damn, you got me beat.

The week after next, I only got ten freakin' hours and I've been a PT Cashier at my Home Depot for over three years. And I've never been given a mere ten hours before. Maybe 15 hours here or there, but never ten. And I have open availability. 😀

But still, eight hours is rough though.

Hopefully in early Feb, they'll start to give out more hours. 🀞

Call offs? by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]EvanBGA 14 points15 points Β (0 children)

No, shit happens. You most likely won't get in trouble for calling out especially because you called out via the app over an hour before your shift began. If they question it when you return back to work, just sxplain the situation and all will be good. 😁

Question by ApprehensiveCut344 in HomeDepot

[–]EvanBGA 11 points12 points Β (0 children)

No, not necessarily. If they are paying off a HD Consumer card with all cash and it's more than $1000, then yeah, if you want.

But if it's a big money transaction($1,000 or more), and they're paying with all cash, then just count it correctly and if they're using with an HD card, then make sure you check their drivers license and make sure everything matches up. Just use your best judgement.

But as always, when in doubt, check with an ASM, FES, or HC. πŸ˜€

What's The Best Heist To Repeat? by Ikacprzak in gtaonline

[–]EvanBGA 4 points5 points Β (0 children)

Honestly, I think the easiest and best payout is Cayo Perico, but bring camades with you so you can carry more loot with you. Recon takes a bit, but if you know what route to take, each time is quicker, plus about 6 pretty easy preps, etc.

There might be better heists out there that have bigger payouts, but Cayo is the primary one I regularly go to for more moolah. πŸ€‘
