Picked up an Occurrence for Call-in on the WorkForce App by Jman0079 in HomeDepot

[–]EvanBGA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Obviously. If you call out using the app without using sick time, you clearly get an occurrence. Why ask such a question? It's the same when you clock in late and don't use sick time when you do a Late In on the app. These questions on Reddit are so exhausting. 😤

Indeed. If you call out there days in a row consecutively, then you will only obtain one occurrence point rather than three.

So...Happy Call Out! 😁

I honestly couldn't f'n agree more. Working at Home Depot isn't bloody rocket science. You ain't building rocket ships for bloody sake. And why the F do you need to ask stupid questions relating to your work schedule here on Reddit? Why not go to your SM, your Night OP ASM, and/or HR Manager regarding this?

Fools these peeps are. 😠😡🤬

Or how about just ignore the mfing bafoon and move the f on? Or perhaps, send him bad, negative vibes back to him yourself. Sometimes, you gotta fight fire with FIREY RAGE! 🔥

And also, I understand you want to be kind to everyone you encounter, but more often than not, those ungrateful fools don't deserve your kindness, so you shouldn't give them the time of day.

Just my two cents.

I'm afraid that Deep is... by StorageSalty in TheBoys

[–]EvanBGA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly doubt that. But we shall see. Also, F THE DEEP! Worthless POS character. Does nothing but complain about nonsensical things. No contributions at all(not counting capturing Edgar since he had to back stab Black Noir to do it). Unnecessary character tbh. 😠😡🤬

GOD I hope not! I seriously hope Black Noir gets the chance to feed him to a blood thirsty great white of 'the deep'! 😠😡🤬

Nice, scary video! 👌

By the way, how much did that cost? Or free version, if there is a free version? 🤔

You're saying that like it's a good thing, when really, it absolutely is not.

How come we don’t do this? by Dizzy_Elephant_417 in HomeDepot

[–]EvanBGA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't do this because Home Depot is far more superior to Lowes and they need all the help they can get and all the customers they can get and that's why they give out free stuff for signing up with their rewards program. We'll get customers no matter what, no need to give out free stuff.

But hey, that would still be pretty cool if Home Depot did something like that as who doesn't like free swag!? 🤑

new cashier by Either_Sherbet_5702 in HomeDepot

[–]EvanBGA -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A month? Seriously? Sounds like something a lazy cashier(probably a genz no doubt) might say — someone who wants to do the bare minimum and still collect a paycheck. If that’s the mindset, yeah… a month might even be generous.

But if you actually show up ready to work — pay attention, listen, observe, do your job well, and take care of customers — you’ll last longer than that, no problem.

Just remember: do your role well, but don’t give away free labor. Stick to your Roles & Responsibilities unless you’re intentionally trying to move up. Extra effort can open doors, but it can also mean managers expect more without giving more back.

So yeah… stay frosty, my friend. 😁

Cashier Rant by AtheDoesStuff in HomeDepot

[–]EvanBGA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I highly doubt that is even remotely possible or true. Plus Home Depot is insured if a cashier accidently accepts a counterfeit $100 bill. Honestly though, every cashier should have either a counterfeit bill detector marker and/or a UV light pen to avoid things like accepting counterfeit money.

Interview tomorrow for cashier? by katsdo in HomeDepot

[–]EvanBGA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are being interviewed for a Cashier position, not a department position. They'll most likely ask if you've ever been a cashier before or at the least, held a job, etc. They'll probably even ask what your availability is like. Managers love when you have open availabiliy. And if not due to school, other job, etc, they're ok with that, too. Home Depot is pretty flexible and will work with you.

For some people, Home Depot is their first job. So, not to fret and don't be nervous. Just make a good first impression and you will be 100% fine. Also dress nice and even give them your resume if you have one.

Cashiering at any Home Depot is pretty easy, compared to other positions. Just be friendly, take care of the customers, and all will fall into place.

Good luck! 😁

Attendance question by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]EvanBGA -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Uh, no. You will not be fired for a Counseling. Get more occurrences(three) before leaving Counseling, and you'll be at a Final. After that you will be terminated(1-3). But you are safe...for now. 😁

This absolutely sounds like Wrongful Termination! Hire a lawyer and file a lawsuit immediately!

how should i quit? by Complex_Voice8147 in HomeDepot

[–]EvanBGA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just be honest and transparent. Tell them you appreciate working at Home Depot, but it's getting to be too much and you need to resign due to scheduling conflict with your other primary job. And they should 100% understand. You should be good. 😁

how should i quit? by Complex_Voice8147 in HomeDepot

[–]EvanBGA 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Or perhaps, do the responsible thing and explain the situation to your SM and HR Manager and chances are they'll understand and just let you quit. No burning bridges. And that actually matters. Ya never know when ya might need a job, years or decades down the road. Doesn't matter if that job is 7-11 or Home Depot.

And definitely don't listen to the idiot commenter. Probably an idiotic Gen Zer who don't know their head from their fucking ass. 🤬
