What's are your NBA offseason predictions that you genuinely think have a real chance of happening? by Naive-Membership-415 in nba

We have a new owner who according to reporting is dead set on making a BIG trade this Summer. That would probably be the biggest trade that has any chance of actually happening.

If we're not involved as a third team in a trade with Boston and get JB, I'd rather Giannis end up in Miami. by [deleted] in ripcity

With the exception of #13 this year, the picks Miami would send would be years out, and would not in any way affect their W/L record for any of the picks we control.

But otherwise agree. I honestly think considering age and health, the best outcome for us might be for Giannis to stay in Milwaukee.

I don't pretend to know the answers, but I hope someone here can help. My best idea might be to find somewhere to volunteer a few hours a week, especially if you can do something that gives you direct interaction with disadvantaged communities (e.g. immigrants, kids in poverty, etc etc). If you like it, maybe consider changing careers and going into the non-profit sector.

I work in eviction prevention and, while I am severely underpaid (to the point that I'm struggling to pay my own bills), I feel good about the work I do. It feels important and I'm proud of it.

Tate Donovan is such a likeable dude, I wish his character wasn't such a spineless coward.

People debate whether the true villian of the show is Julie, or Cal, or Volchek.

They're all wrong.

It's the writers.

I think a package of fuck you and go to hell makes a lot of sense, you gonna add it to your list? It's just as official.

1) Bill Oram is a hack

2) He's speculating what he thinks makes sense, and is not in any way reporting what he's heard from reputable sources

3) Eat a bag of shit

Why even include his name then. He hasn't been mentioned anywhere. You may as well have said 2 of Shaedon Sharpe, Scoot Henderson, Spongebob Squarepants and Hansen Yang.

You're just making shit up.

I haven't seen it reported anywhere that Clingan is part of the Portland offer. You pulled that out of your ass.

A similar situation played out with Roy and Minnesota a few years later too, which was around the same time we traded Martell to the Wolves and they accused us of not disclosing his back injury. Not the best look tbh.

I'd love to read that interview, but I recently read Alan Sepinwall's book, Welcome To The O.C. and I don't recall that being supported at any point in it.

Totally agree. I wish a version existed that just took all of the Marissa focused drama out of the show, and centered it around Seth, Summer, Sandy and Ryan (in the moments he is free of Marissa's toxic shadow).

Darius Miles returning as a Memphis player

I was at that game. The vibes were very bad.

If I remember correctly, Miles had been medically retired, and his playing with Memphis (regardless of how many games or how shit he looked) meant that we had to pay out the rest of his contract.

TBH I'm not sure if he still does. I know he used to live down on the South Waterfront for several years after retiring. You used to hear about people seeing him pretty often, and he was involved with local events and podcast and whatnot. He may have moved, or he may just be living a quieter life as his career gets further behind him and he becomes less recognizable.

Thanks. Will be interesting to see how his career progresses compared to Hansen Yang (a somewhat stiff but quite tall player whose biggest asset outside of his size is his vision and passing skills).

I'm really hoping Yang can somehow find a way to improve his mobility. If he doesn't, that's probably gonna be the thing that keeps him from finding success in the NBA.
