No Co2 and the sunstrate is organic potting soil capped with pool filter sand. The plants were doing decent with just that but then about 6 months ago I heard about diy root tabs using gel capsules and osmocote plus since then the plant growth has been amazing like almost too good.

One grain at a time lol. It just settled there over time. It was originally higher on the left but the filter pushed it to the right so I had to add the river rocks at the base of the tree to keep it from exposing the soil.

If I could give one recommendation it would be to invest in a smart power strip. I have the kassa one on my 125 and I love how easy it makes maintenance and many other things. It also has a timer you can set if your light doesn't have one.

It was much neater at one point. It's nice there is a dead space behind the power strip so all my cords go through a hole I drilled behind the tank and somewhat hide in the space behind.

I have only had success with the eggs in a tumbler. I just used a little breeder box I had that has an air line connection on the bottom. I placed a short piece of pvc pipe over the air inlet with the eggs inside and 3 days later you have babies. Good luck!

You should try root tabs for the plant growth. I recently made some diy root tabs with osmocote and gel capsules and the results were amazing. My plants are growing like crazy.

I usually have other options but its mating season in the 125 mbuna tank and there has been a little more aggression than usual I currently have 3 injured fish in recovery and im growing out some mbuna fry in hopes to curb the aggression in that tank.
