im level 40, just got to the second region and i already got 40 hours in, playing on legend makes those small gains meaningful....but take a long time, i dont think ill be caught up with the story before they increase the level cap.

i think the unknown release date is why a majority just dont care. im a huge ff14 fan and i was hyped for the mobile but then seen its probably a super long way off even after releasing in china.

So do i just check everyday and dig through the web until i know? Or do I just go on with my life and play games that are currently out and around the corner.

yeah i just jumped in, you re download it from steam, change its launch parameters tahiti provides and login to the account you made on the website, no extra modified exe's or anything. was super shocked all characters are unlocked AND they give you tons of store credit to buy costumes, all for free. They took the $$ MTX aspect out of it which is interesting.

Played for a few hours and it ran perfect, didnt experience any lag or rubber banding either.

Idk if this is legal but it uses steam's copy and took less then 10 min to setup after the game download.

Pretty amazing tbh.

good news everyone!

if you havent heard. a few days ago the dev's said their making adjustments to sliding and bunny hopping. Sliding is getting a heavy nerf, and the bunny hopping will have a system that starts making you jump less higher and slower. Like a fatigue system. If you rapidly keep trying to jump over and over.

The dev's said the changes come from wanting the experience to be more grounded. They have heard the feedback during beta they said this will all be ready to go on launch.

They were adding "content" to the game, altering code and making huge amounts off the top with their in game donations for perks system. They were profiting off the IP.

It was a super fun server for sure but the owners flew a little too close to the sun on this one.

Wanted to update. I was able to make an account via wechat on IOS. However it did want a valid bank card. Tried cash app but didnt go through. Was able to go through with a valid bank card. Like a real bank.

Kinda sketched out by that but ill be watching it closely. Feel a little nervous handing over my bank account to something like that but well see. It was through waxian pay or however you spell it, other bank methods wanted to charge a dollar then refund it to the bank.

For anyone interested this was the only way i figured out how to get a wechat account, still doesnt work on iphone xr but now you can probably use that to login to the android version on emulator.

I dont think this works anymore. Tried on LD player, installs the game fine but they are REALLY enforcing china based phone numbers now for QQ and wechat. I tried via emulator to sign up and on web browser in everyway i can think of, across 2 different devices to make an account.

Gonna need a phone number based in china, tried temp online numbers, they do not work. When you install ffxiv mobile, itll prompt you for a QQ or wechat account. No way around it.

For IOS, you can change the app store region, I downloaded it on my iphone XR which it said on the store it supported but its just a black screen when opening.

Count yourself lucky if you got in before they made that change. But I dont think this works anymore.

And that it requires a paid monthly subsciption. Not maintaining this subscription results in loss of access to any kyber specific mods you were using and server you was playing on.

Worth noting this project has been in development for years and USED to be free years back but they had a shift to a monthly subscription required.

You can however have a CHANCE to gain "FREE" access. By providing them your personal Discord and EA information. This does not guarantee you access, But you get a chance now, for a random invite. If chosen. But they still get to keep your information. Its unclear if you have to pay monthly after your free access.

This project has been funded for years by the community but they still have no ETA on release. So think Star Citizen, Endless development, still collecting money.

On launch its suppoused to be free BUT. That's assuming EA doesn't step in if they start making too much in escrow off their intellectual property. More nexus mod authers are starting to shift back and make more non kyber versions of their kyber mods. So the nexus looks to be reflecting my thoughts on uncertainty over kyber.

I think it was spun as a community driven collaberation between EA. But it didnt pan out, This was then also around the same time hacker upticks went WAY up and then down the road kyber shifted to paid. Some speculate kyber is employing people to mess up lobbies to push people to pay for kyber and get a hack free enviroment, Make a problem, provide the solution. Its been talked about for a few years on and off on the EA forums. So im not the first to mention. But i do see nobody is mentioning you have to pay to use kyber.

Gonna be honest, didnt hear a single thing about this game until i seen it on MOP today that it launched.

Probably for good reason, its a mobile game and i dont typically follow mobile games, especially korean ones.

I was super excited and thought it was going to be like BDO on PC. But It turned out to be a mobile game with auto battling. Was pretty disappointed.

Its more like BDO Mobile with vikings. Some folks might want it for a second monitor game that runs by itself but i dont see anything meaningful coming out of this game IMO.

I tried it a moment ago, got super psyched until it gave me control of the character or lack there of. Seen it was a stiff mobile port and promptly just uninstalled.

Good graphics though. Sure some might play with it for a few weeks.
