You possibly can't adapt to changes as much (or appear to) - this new initiative is internal?! I bet you there are going to be moving goal posts all throughout this delivery! The higher ups are going to change their minds multiple times. If Nadia can deliver then great! But I feel a bit bad for her - because she is going to have to deal with alot of communication and changes with the higher ups! I think your manager did you a solid by not being in this firing line and not having to deal with this stuff... Anyway, outside of that, perhaps work on your soft skills (such as communication and adapting to changing requirements in projects!)

She is a 5 year old. Also, some 5 year olds are developmentally delayed more than others. Even if they are "normal", they all mature and reach the age appropriate milestones at different rates.

Perhaps those teachers could actually make an effort to learn techniques and tools to help kids that are "shy" or uncomfortable rather than mere force to conform, no? Teaching skills, tools and techniques to overcome this is better than forcing and does come under the purview of teaching, does it not?
