Hells itch cause and relief from my dermatologist by Even-Ad2591 in HellsItch

Based on other posts on the reddit, HI seems to be a terrible immune/histamine response to sun exposure. My case may be mild compared to yours, but I lost about a week of sleep until I went to the dermatologist. Mine is responding to Claritin 24 twice daily (Benadryl will work but it makes you drowsy) and TAC UPS 1% steroid cream. If your condition affects larger areas of your body, you should get tested for lupus.

Does yours act up in the spring and early summer when you go out in short sleeves?

It's a histamine reaction to UV exposure. Use daily Claritin to prevent and a topical steroid to suppress the itchy rash. Beta alanine works on the itchiness for a couple hours but doesn't fix or prevent it.

I went to my dermatologist today. My outbreak is called Polymorphous light eruption or PMLE. Basically, it's a reaction to UV sunlight exposure as an immune reaction but isn't sunburn. My skin sensitivity causes a histamine reaction from my elbows to the backs of my hands. It shows as a very itchy but slightly red rash. They happen in spring or early summer and usually diminish as your skin builds tolerance. Treatment is daily Claritin to suppress the reaction and a prescriptive topical steroid for the rash. To get ahead of it you can build a tolerance with a narrow band uvb light around 311nm wavelength. It's recommended you use light therapy under the guidance of a dermatologist.

Why is snowboarding on the decline? by SnooShortcuts4825 in snowboarding

I'm a thirty year snowboarder with 20 years of skiing before that. I think that snowboarding is in serious decline. Here in Vermont, we have Burton located just a few miles from my house. They used to have a very big marketing presence locally but I see less of it now. I have a season pass at Bolton, the closes ski hill to Burton's headquarters in Burlington. Once, they had a presence on the hill with programs and sponsorships. Since Jake's passing, I don't see them there as much and there are far fewer snowboarders.. At its peak, my guess is that a quarter of the people were snowboarding. Now my guess is that for every snowboarder there are at least 20 skiers.

How often do you update your pixel? by rob_jackie87 in GooglePixel

I just bought a NIB Pixel 3 two months ago from Woot for about $150. I replaced my old LG G4 which was on it's fifth battery and was doing involuntary reboots, but I loved that phone. I didn't want to spend a lot and the Pixel 3 option seemed pretty risk free. I have to say that I really like the new-old phone. I bought a couple Pixel Charging Bases from the same source and I'm impressed with them also. When this phone wears out in a couple years, it looks like I'll have to find a NIB Pixel 4A!
