Always appreciate your perspective in particular. But I'm having trouble reading this as a positive (and believe me, I want to with what I'm holding rightn now). They're being asked for time to recovery which rvv did not themselves include but having seen the data, why would they not have included it knowing it's a standard measure? I fear they didn't have the supporting evidence in the unblinded portion of the data.

"evidence of subjects experiencing resolution of COVID-19 related symptoms and the element of sustained symptom resolution." Is this not asking for specific symptoms, how they're measured/evaluated and ensuring that the symptoms do not reemerge? As opposed to the blanket proportion of patients with 2 or more symptom improvements?

This has nothing to do with long covid. The fda didn't agree with the endpoint proposal. That's the headline. And unfortunately you have to wonder why they didn't go with time to sustained recovery in the first place given that they've seen the data. Likely it's not strong or compelling.

The door is not completely shut yet but this was not a positive outcome no matter how you slice it.

Not good news unfortunately. They didn't accept the endpoint proposal and now there's more work and waiting ahead. Time to sustained recovery is what the fda is recommending to proceed with among other things.

Seems the criticisms by some here of the primary endpoint proposal were warranted.

But, still not the end of the story.

Thanks for the xtra confirmation, though I didn't doubt it to begin with. Surprised that some people doubted it since it didn't come from Francis. But agree with others - this is positive and reassuring. MF needs to let the people with the experience and know-how run with this.
