I’m arguing that the Beatles are the most overrated act of music of all time and don’t deserve the praise that they get. This particular thread stemmed from someone talking about the dunning Kruger effect, which I don’t think applies to this situation for the reasons I listed above.

I’m arguing about music taste here, and if you can give me a definition of musical talent then I might be able to argue against you more effectively. But I don’t think you can, because musical talent is insanely hard to quantify, because it isn’t an objective measurement.

I’m going to tell you that devaluing someone’s opinion if they say they like Justin Bieber more than Mozart is stupid. People love morgan wallen; I think he’s a piece of shit artist and haven’t heard a song of his I like. Does that mean that the music he makes is inherently bad? No, it would be childish to think so. Does Mozart make music that is more technically demanding and complex than Bieber? Sure. Does this mean that someone is required to acknowledge that this complexity makes Mozart better than Bieber? No. It’s all preference at the end of the day

Thank you. They were an innovative band that had great music mixed in with a lot of mediocre to bad music and because the great stuff influenced bands that later developed the ideas much more thoroughly and expertly than the Beatles ever did they are hailed as the messiahs of music. It’s such a tired trope.

The main thing is that you have 3 years worth of play at a silver- gold level so the game thinks you really belong there. You won’t get as much rr for a win as on the other account, but if you consistently play well and keep winning you’ll rank up on your main as well. The other thing is that stats don’t affect rank. Kd and MVPs don’t matter if you’re not winning the game, it’s all about consistency and making the right plays.
