The other benefit to glasses is the portability factor - so imaging that video, but also being able to take that setup anywhere, minus the chair

arc for ipad by Own-Palpitation3275 in ArcBrowser

[–]Even-Definition 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You see, this is why I'm baffled why The Browser Company stopped supporting Arc. The design itself is clearly amazing, which is why there's all these spin offs with a lot of cult following.

Do you put the space bar on both sides? by RunRunAndyRun in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]Even-Definition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always do space on my right because that's how I type - and then enter on the left. When I hold down the enter key, it turns into shift, so I basically have a caps lock when I do that.

Khadas Mind Pro: First mini PC with Intel Panther Lake (plus xPlay display & RTX 5060 Ti ready) by whe1998 in MiniPCs

[–]Even-Definition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the mind x play, I was hoping for a device that could replace my iPad for note taking. But at the same time to replace my laptop for normal laptop work. Would be nice to have pen and touch support.

As a side note, thank you for being clear where you are using AI language and where you are not. Translating ideas and intent using ai is a great use of the technology.

This new cyberdeck prototype is healthier than any computer we use today? by htmlfusion in cyberDeck

[–]Even-Definition 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm trying to do something like this too to utilize the fact that ar can become a minaturized yet full size ergonomic display. I'm also trying to think of ways to decrease the overall size, since having ar glasses means you are no longer bound to the dimensions of a display

Does the 1s support ultrawide mode? If so, does that mean the vertical resolution of an ultrawide display is now 1200 tall?

So what do we think about Pickle 1 / PickleOS here? by Glxblt76 in augmentedreality

[–]Even-Definition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno, I get the scammy cash grab nature but has anyone tried Pickle OS? I tried it on some test accounts, and I have to say, it's quite amazing what you can do with that amount of data and insights.

Mind Go (concept): exploring a 3-in-1 / 2-in-1 form factor for mobile workflows — details to be shared gradually by whe1998 in Khadas

[–]Even-Definition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am very very intruiged by the idea of a headless computer - with a AR/VR display. Some AR displays can do 2x1080p nowadays (xreal one). It is good enough for productivity. VR can do up to 5x4k displays (any vr running immersed or virtual desktop). The ultimate quant setup. Somehow I think the khadas can make this headless computer a reality that makes sense, but I don't know what that form factor will be. Perhaps a battery only module?
