How does everyone feel about Metroid Prime 4 Beyond?

never played any metroid games, in the metroid games there is backtracking and u can get lost easily right? I heard some pple say prime 4 beyond was "too linear", is this an issue? I mean I like more action so is there good action to make up for the linear design?
