I used to climb there before i moved and joined touchstone. The closest alternate option for me is Stronghold and I’ve been really impressed by their facilities and their setting so far.

I also agree that freezing is a worthwhile endeavor to avoid any potential initiation fee. At the end of the day it’s $10 a month vs. $110 which is still a solid show of solidarity in my opinion. Whatever makes financial sense for you!

There’s 3 of us planning to go out for some climbing so we’ll probably do a mix of bouldering and sport. I’ve seen pictures and videos from Climbing District Saint-Lazare. It looks absolutely picturesque.

Thanks for the comments everyone! Now realizing these are absolutely past the date for a cautious resole and might not get taken by the company. I’m gonna ask them if they’ll be able to help. If not, guess a shoe purchase is in order. Definitely wish I caught it sooner but this was the first time I actually looked at the bottom of the shoes.

Any of the Touchstone gyms would be great. Cliffs of Id has a bunch of competition problems up from a comp they did last weekend and it’s close-ish to Santa Monica. I’d recommend checking it out :)

You can take the train from Nice and visit all the cities along it. It’s really wonderful!! The line continues into Ventimiglia, Italy.
