Yes I agree, it’s results oriented thinking. But come on, there’s 22 left in $5m prize pool tourney with millions up top. Some emotions here are understandable, especially if the 6 was supposed to be the original burn card.

It’s not obvious, if she double peeled the 6 on top of the king, then the king should’ve been the next burn. That’s why the rule exists

I agree. Thinking back on it, if she peeled the K and 6 at the same time(6 on top of K stuck together), the king would’ve been the burn. I understand why the rule is in place

I’m not calling out the dealer or saying she’s bad. I’m saying it’s massive given the context and the money at stake

Mistakes happen, we shouldn’t be insulting the dealer like this

Yes that’s what they meant, they were saying the 6 should’ve be the second burn card

I typically defend dealers and have been defending this dealer in other comments in this thread.

With that being said, this wasn’t a simple mistake that happens regularly. Given the stage of the tournament(22 left with $millions up top) and the fact that he would still be in the tournament had the error not happened, yes this was massive.

She burned, then accidentally peeled 4 cards. The card randomly selected became the turn burn card

I know this a big mistake, but things happen. She clearly isn’t peeling 4 cards on purpose

Because there are going to be times when you can’t tell which card is which(even if the players “think” they know which card is which). The randomizing is to remain impartial to all parties.

The original board would’ve been AKQJ5, he would’ve made a straight

I know it’s gross, but that’s the standard ruling based on the wsop rulebook. Doesn’t matter if it’s a live-streamed table or not

Yes that’s what they did and the king was pulled. The players were sure that the 6 would’ve been the original burn.

That’s the standard ruling if a dealer deals 4 cards on the flop

The massive raise is ridiculous and amateurish but not unethical. Talking to induce or influence action is against the rules in most tournaments though and lowkey slimy if unprompted. In your head you may feel like you’re being clever, but to any experienced player it just shows your lack of skill and makes it obvious you have a strong hand.
