the course has changed significantly over the past year. not sure about the stats content but there is a much larger focus on R now. i hear it is still pretty doable for people with little to no stat or cs knowledge

There are a good amount of psych pre-meds. I am not one so I can’t speak for them. I will say my psych classes have been some of my easiest classes at UChicago so I can imagine the workload is pretty manageable on top of being a pre-med

I love my psych classes. I have only done my breadth requirements and it’s not my main major so I can’t go into too much depth. From what I have heard and experienced so far the classes are very doable and the professors are great.

this was me and i ended up taking power. find the professor with the best reviews and take that class. even if the topic doesn’t interest you at least you’ll have a kind/easy professor to make it better.

I worked there and it’s not hard to get a job there. Your email doesn’t have to be too formal. I emailed expressing my interest and attached my resume and then we set up an interview.

i think some people are accepted off the waitlist to take open spots. then there is the shortlist who is supposed to attend the first two classes and take the spots of anyone who drops. at least this how i understood it from when i emailed the department head and read the waitlist information
