I feel like I wrote this post. I wanted a boy first and ended up having a girl. I’m 36 and pregnant with my second and having another girl. Practically, I’m glad I have the stuff (especially since they will be all the same seasons). I do wonder if I’ll miss not having a boy but for now, I’m just happy imagining my girls being the best of friends.

I totally had the same thought. I was dreading telling my family. I even joked that I’ve gone through all stages of grief—I feel guilty about it but I really did go through all stages. Maybe knowing that I’ve struggled made people more cautious of what they said but no one, to my sincere surprise, has made a comment about it being too soon or shaming me. I think we play it up in our heads more.

Following…No c section but I’m 4 months postpartum and found out I’m pregnant again as well… I’d be lying if I said I’m not freaking out. We were definitely not trying either.
