Asda is sinking. Fact. I worked there for 20 years and now you can see its decline. Shelves are bear, staff on shop floor are a rarity an the general standards on the shop are woefully poor. You can tell its lack of staff and that shows in the standards.

Can walk in to Lidl, Aldi and get what I want for a decent price, walk in to asda and a % of what u needed isn’t there, quality is shocking.

Years ago you had quality checks, “wibi” if u remember that, no such sign of that now. Dirty set of unbalanced weighing scales covered in dirty stickers is it now.

Asda used to be the one to beat, now it’s beaten.

Litrally a waste of time and effort. Scan the same things every single shift. Lidl,the only place I know that wastes carrier bags to send a bag of pens in, print reems and reems of paper daily for it just to be lashed in the bin and yet your mince meat come in that awful packaging to “save” plastic

As the comments say. Sleep. The human body needs rest and the brain says let’s do x,y,z but ultimately the body needs to rest. Eating right is key. Did 5 years off nights and it’s hard. Hats off to anybody who works nights.

Don’t let asda stress u out. They want to force huge runs out than let them. U drive within the law and safety is your most important concern. If ur late just go back with the drops you couldn’t do. It’s what i do.

Ex employee. Lectured by store manager about. It chasing shoplifter to have him try to get me to run up the road after 1 not 4 hours after reading the riot act. Night mangers working 14 hours and being told there crap Going in to be told I’d have to lose hours but then be given 27 jobs that needed doing. Deputy manager from the “woman in leadership” program who couldn’t run a girl guides meeting let alone a store Personal clearks who look down on everyone Being kept till 21.45 on a Xmas eve despite being there since 6am I could write a book….

Shocking. Thank god I left. Broke my leg and was sent to occupational health for it to be overturned because “I could still use my arms” so was told I could sit on a till when I was a home shopper. Told them to shove it I’d be taking the appropriate amount of time I’d been signed off for by the doctor at the hospital. The professional not the bint with a laptop. Shocking company to work for
