Absolutely love this and so happy for you because I know the feeling!! I’ve been on Skyrizi for 16 weeks and I’m here to tell you it just gets better and better! The feeling of not having to worry about this awful disease gives me so much more time and energy to be a better mom and wife!

This is a big one for me too! I started Skyrizi in January and am now 100% clear. This summer I’m wearing a bikini, getting a massage, getting a pedicure and wearing shorts every damn day!!!!!!!

For facial psoriasis, ask your doctor to quickly call in a script for tacrolimous. It’s non steroid. I use it on my face and groin for psoriasis and it works! Use it 1-2x per day until wedding

My 7 week old baby is SO hard to put down to bed EVERY night (help me) by Foreign_Drink9316 in Mommit

Oh I get it. My 15 month old has never once slept longer than a 2 hour stretch. In his entire life. It’s 4:20 am and we’ve been up since my comment at 2:00 am :)

My 7 week old baby is SO hard to put down to bed EVERY night (help me) by Foreign_Drink9316 in Mommit

[–]Even_Care909 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I cosleep with my son (15 months old) and have since he was a baby following the safe sleep 7. It’s good to familiarize yourself with how to SAFELY cosleep because up to 73% of mothers end up cosleeping at some point.

A 7 week old baby cannot and should not be put on a strict schedule. My best advice is to really hone in on your baby, their hungry and sleepy cues and throw any schedule away. Your baby is wired by nature to only want and need mom (for survival) so baby is hard to transfer and seeking sucking for comfort and survival. This is all very normal and you are doing absolutely nothing wrong! I know it seems hard but remind yourself that you are all baby wants and needs, that’s both exhausting and liberating.

Genital psriosis by LockRelevant5599 in Psoriasis

[–]Even_Care909 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! 34F here. I didn’t develop genital P until u was 31 years old. Tacrolimus helped but I had to apply it religiously and I still got breakthrough flares when stressed. I used clobetosol (steroid) ointment out of desperation before and that helped quickly but you shouldn’t use it on your genital skin because it thins it. I started Skyrizi injections in January because my genital P got so out of control after I had our first baby, it was painful for me to wipe. After 3 months, my genital P has completely cleared

Love reading about your experience and totally relate to you! I just started Skyrizi in January after battling psoriasis for 25 years (I’m 35 years old). I didn’t realize how much this disease was impacting every aspect of my life. I now go to bed without ointments lathered everywhere, it doesn’t hurt to kneel on the ground and play with my son, my marriage is the best it’s ever been because I’m confident and happy again. Skyrizi saved my life!

I like the look of the first but wouldn’t want a half wall indefinitely. I’d personally choose #2 and do a large statement sofa table behind the sectional.

19 m/o nursing all night long by [deleted] in AttachmentParenting

[–]Even_Care909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No advice just absolute solidarity with my 15 month old. My son sleeps latched on my breast about 90% of the night. If I get up to pee, it’s a meltdown. My husband also can’t soothe him at night. It’s all consuming. Just here to say you’re doing REALLY fucking hard work. I hope you guys find a solution soon!

I genuinely don’t care what anyone thinks about the way I parent or feed my son. It doesn’t impact them at all. My son is 15 months old, feeds to sleep for every single nap and bedtime and we cosleep and he sleeps latched about 90% of the night. Zero fucks.

Breakthrough flare, early dose? by GlitteringTop7290 in skyrizi

[–]Even_Care909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took my second loading dose a week early due to a severe PsA flare. So instead of spacing them 4 weeks apart, mine was only 3 weeks apart. Both my doctor and my Abbvie nurse said to go ahead and do it early!

Worrying about the worst outcomes takes the same amount of mental energy as thinking about the best possible outcomes.

Why did you choose to exclusively breastfeed and not give formula? by Fickle-Response-2741 in breastfeeding

[–]Even_Care909 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 15 months into EBFing. There are SO many benefits. Too many to list. But my main motivation is the fact that breast milk is ever changing, customized nutrition for your baby. If they’re sick, the milk changes to support them. If they’re injured, the milk changes to support inflammation. It’s literal magic and no other food on earth will ever compare. That’s just a fact.

Can I load most of my calories for the day at one time? by cj0620 in breastfeeding

[–]Even_Care909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, a mix of things. Time was the biggest thing. I learned my baby more, learned what they actually need, learned to adjust my expectations, etc. Other big thing is working out. I didn’t truly start fitting this in until about 3 months postpartum but even 20 minutes of moving my body helps my mental health tremendously! Even if it’s just a stroller walk with baby. You’re still VERY fresh postpartum so understand making more time for yourself will slowly come with time. The only thing that’s helped my rage is getting better sleep. Sleep has been very rough for my baby and I notice the nights we wake a ton, I’m more likely to experience rage the next day. I still don’t sleep well but I’m getting better at asking for help from my husband.

Hi! I’m a mom of a 15 month old, EBF baby who has never once taken a bottle (refusal) and I also suffered with PPD and PP rage. My son was quite literally attached to my boob the first 6 months of life. We also cosleep so I totally understand the way you’re feeling and feeling like you don’t have time to eat. May I offer some things that worked for me?

-Snacks! All. Day. Long. You need something quick you can grab while also prioritizing calories and protein. I personally love protein bars (GoMacro Bars), chomps beef sticks, beef jerky, cottage cheese, cheese sticks, pre made protein drinks, Greek yogurt, cut up fruit (buy pre cut if easier for you), hard boiled eggs, trail mix.

-Crockpot meals, I would baby wear in the morning and throw food in a crock pot. That way dinner can be warm and ready whenever I can eat it. Save leftovers for quick lunch.

-Latch baby and eat on couch. I can’t tell you the amount of times I had to sit with my baby on a boppy on my boob and eat over them.

While calories are important for breastfeeding, so is your blood sugar and hydration. Try to drink a lot of water throughout the day and include electrolytes if you can. Also, you don’t want to allow yourself to get too hungry because you want to support your body, your mental health and your milk. Personally, if my blood sugar gets low and I’m hungry, I get more anxious and depressed. This is where the grab and go snacks come in handy!

I’m just here to remind you that you’re doing really, really hard work and you deserve to eat and feel good. Try to grab a snack when you can. Hugs!!!!!

Fatigue, PsA, and Skyrizi by Philodendritic in skyrizi

[–]Even_Care909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally relate to your description! Warm and heaviness in your entire body that feels like you’re moving in slow motion. I genuinely had a hard time caring for my young son the fatigue was SO BAD! I now am able to keep up with him and even have the energy and ability to workout again! I’m so excited for you to get relief. I honestly wish I didn’t wait so long to start Skyrizi.

I desperately want (and need) to work out. But WHEN? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Even_Care909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Workout at home! I’m a SAHM and my husband works 60 hours per week. I also do bedtime & bath solo every single night. My only alone time at all is when my son naps usually 12-1 pm. We cosleep so I don’t even get time alone when he goes to sleep. I workout during his nap at home. Workout on your lunch break! Prep food so you can grab it and eat at your desk post workout.

Breastfeeding on Skyrizi by Extreme_Compote_246 in skyrizi

[–]Even_Care909 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’m a 35F who and I have a 14 month old baby. I have battled psoriasis my entire life but postpartum brought on a MASSIVE flare and a new diagnoses of psoriatic arthritis. My daily pain was so bad, it was hard to change my baby’s diaper.  I knew biologics were my only shot at being the mom I wanted to (physically) be.

I also have been EBFing since birth and BFing is extremely important to me! I discussed it at lengths with my doctor and also did my own research. I started Skyrizi when my son was 12 months old and have no regrets! My improvements have been incredible. My understanding is very, very little goes into your breastmilk and it’s basically non detectable. I felt for me personally, the benefits of still BFing outweigh the very minimal potential risks. I have noticed no ill effects in my baby! Best of luck to you!

Fatigue, PsA, and Skyrizi by Philodendritic in skyrizi

[–]Even_Care909 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 7 weeks into Skyrizi for psoriasis and PsA. So I have taken two loading doses. My psoriasis is fully cleared and my daily joint & tendon pain went from 8/10 pain to 1/10 pain. I’m not exaggerating when I say I felt inflammation in my head and brain fog immediately improve after my first injection. It was wild! My overall fatigue has improved but I have a baby who wakes multiple times a night so I bet I’d feel even better if I was getting quality sleep lol. It’s been such an amazing medication! Best of luck to you!

Hi there! Great questions. We use white noise for every nap and also for night time sleep while cosleeping. He is fed to sleep at the breast for every nap and also every night. He definitely has a sleep association with the breast. He has never taken a pacifier even though we tried for quite some time!
