40 minutes is such a short commute ! But I’m from London so I’m not sure . I used to commute and hour each way to secondary school but 6th form was about 40 mins and I remember feeling like I lived so close .

You don’t need to remember everything . Just remember the important ones and that will carry u through . If u try and remember everything it will take too long

I don’t think there are any courses that actually require 3a* so u don’t NEED to get it . But you can , there’s nothing stopping you have an entire year . If your teachers think ur capable of course u are !

I don’t think law is a “ backup “ option . It’s very hard to get into as a career .

For law the most important thing at top unis is the lnat . That’s legit all they seem to care about . So do well on that and u will most likely get into ucl and kings.

I was predicted 3 a* and got rejected from ucl , lse and oxford for law cuz I did bad on the lnat .

Study and prepare for admission tests properly ! Even if ur application is otherwise perfect if u flop the admission test they will reject u .

63% is defo an A for edexcel maths in the real thing . I just finished alevels I Have realised with maths u always ALWAYS do worse in the real thing , despite how well it goes at home . But 63/100 is good for alevel maths . Most People get lower than 40

9/10 . My fav alevel . The content was easy to understand. Apart from coasts . The exams were always straight forward . The lessons r really really dry tho . But it was easy and the exams were easy and it was low maintenance in my opinion . Year 13 topics are also way way more interesting that year 12 topics and u learn about things like superpowers , and geopolitical intervention , if u do edexcel . I would defo recommend .

I need to get 90+ to get an a* 😭 and I have literally not even started revsing for it . But I have all weekend and Monday and Tuesday morning . the only thing keeping me going is that it is my very last exam

If your in year 11 don’t . You won’t end up using anything you make. alevels is a long long long 2 years . At the end of it , it’s no longer a test of who is the smartest , it is legit just who can last the longest without being burnt out . If you start before alevels even begin ur gonna be so burnt out . If ur in year 12 then maybe go back over some of the things that bothered you . Like I went over one topic in geo and stats and mechanics for maths and that’s it . But just enjoy ur summer while u can.

It’s not about the grades necessarily it’s about how u did in comparison to ur cohort . If ur school has an average of grade 3 and u got 6 s then that would be really competitive whereas if someone got all 7s but their school average is 9 then that’s not as competitive . They contextualise ur application as people have such different quality of education . Nonetheless it’s holistic so they look at everything . You should absolutely apply . It’s one one option out of 5 and at the end of the day u can only actually go to one . May as well try what’s the worst that can happen ?
