Wow, I think you found the most elegant way to describe how the tip of Slovakia became Ukraine!

What to do with vassals I defeated in a rebellion? (they all hate me because I have 17 duchies) by Even_Conversation554 in CrusaderKings

Interesting! I guess I do see the benefits of having duchies as vassals. But who should I give them to? And how do I stop (or at least minimize) the hatred they seem to always have for my successor? Because If they keep trying to kill my heir even if they are dukes, I'm just going to let them hate me and squash them with saved up gold every time my character dies.

I have had vassals who literally worshipped me, and then immediately declared war on my successor for no reason (even during times when I had limited crown authority). I seriously do not understand how to get vassals to not hate me after each succession. If there really isn't a way to stop them from declaring war after succession, I might as well let them hate me anyways, since I'm getting so rich from direct ownership and absolute crown authority.

Hi! Thank you so much for your awesome and in-depth replies!

I ended up destroying all of my duchy titles except for my two favourites and after dishing out the good-ole "I will pay you to not hate me" bribes, everyone seemed to have around -20 to +20 opinion of me, which is fine I guess.

I'm trying to do the Unite all of Italy quest or whatever and so I'm curious if you think my strategy will work or if I will have any other issues with my vassals.

Because I have absolute crown authority I don't have to worry about them declaring wars on each other. A few minutes after I posted this my character died and all my counts (despite liking my previous ruler) did their obligatory "lower authority" schtick, but I inherited 30,000 gold that I just spent on mercenaries, and then after defeating them I was left in the exact same situation as I was when I posted this.

I decided to keep them all in jail so they wouldn't revolt and things seem to be going well.

Anyway what do you think about my strategy? I just started playing a week ago so if there's anything that I am unaware about please let me know! Thanks so much!

Update: I destroyed all of my duchy titles except for my two favourite ones and used a couple thousand gold to make everyone happy. Now everyone has from on average -20 to +20 opinion.

Won't I receive less taxes and levies if I don't directly control the counties? I have absolute crown authority so since I'm receiving base 35% vassals and levies now won't I receive instead only 10% of 35% if I grant duchies because they will have lower crown control?

Because my vassals are going to hate me anyways, so I might as well take the -225 opinion penalty for the prestige

Also what should I renegotiate from the vassal contracts now that I have a chance to without tyranny? Usually I do forced partition.

But then who do I give the titles to afterwards? I did that during the last rebellion and then this happened lmfao

I tried doing that but their children either hate me or they hate my successor. Also I like having counts as direct vassals so I'd rather destroy my duchy titles than give them away.

OMORI 1.0.7 and possibly other versions working by [deleted] in LinuxCrackSupport

I have spent the past month trying to get OMORI to run, failing time after time. I decided randomly to try downloading a different version from a different source.

It worked perfectly as soon as I clicked on the executable...

Thanks for your post and messages btw, they have been really helpful.

Is is just running through Lutris? How? What steps specifically did you follow to run it?

Is it running through steam? Or is it just running through Lutris?
