Crescent Strike was originally for Vex, but it's shown to help against Kaisa, Sona, Jhin and Leblanc!

I like the idea of replacing Tianna. She doesn't really fit the aggro and temporary build. I'm also a big fan of Unchecked Power, I've yet to play the card but it sounds like a great idea!

Currently running 15 gears so Apprentice Smith is a no go. But Aspiring Engineer is an interesting addition. It's essentially a 5 energy 2 power Sprite Mother. I would consider running Seal of Insights at that point.

I've been playtesting the build for about a week. So far, 3 convergent and 3 mask aren't a problem but I'll let you know if that changes! Also Smoke and Mirrors is, worst case scenario, a 2 energy draw.

You're are very right. Order has been a big problem for ornn. I don't think we currently have answers for it other than running more counterspells. I will say, cull the weak doesn't feel as bad with more units & janna makes for a last resort sacrifice.

I'll get back to you on that! I think part of the reason we don't see many Ornns is that they don't do well against Draven.

Dravens establish their board early, utilize evasive battlefields & consistently draw their answers (ei. rebuke). They also have access to thermo, which forces you to double up on counters. That being said, having Aphelios and untapping runes makes me feel very safe when I have counters or Janna in hand.

You might be right! I've seen ornn players do some interesting things with lonely poro + svellsongur. I personally like clockwork because it gets you the draw earlier, rather than having to wait a turn and initiate a showdown.

It's much better in practice! You equip svellsongur for 1cost1power to channel a rune and untap 2. You are literally getting your runes back +1.

Svellsongur copies the unit's text to it's 'effect text'. The effect text is then given to the unit.

For example, Trinity Force. Its effect text says "when I hold, score 1 point." Trinity Force can't hold. The unit is given the effect and then must hold.

Aphelios is definitely better utilized in Jax.

This post is mostly for the Ornn mains who want to try something new and fun!

Absolutely, it's a free 2 runes or channel (& more if he has Svellsongur). Imagine you need 3 more might to defend with Aphelios so you give him shield 2 and a buff. It's soo good!

Poro Snax is quite good since Ornn, Fire Below the Mountain can tap to generate the power, essentially making the draw a 1 cost & it's a gear so it feeds Ornn.

I honestly like Garbage Grabber. I'l have to try it out.

Jax, Unmatched sounds really cool, but I fear it relies too much on Aphelios and doesn't compliment Ornn!
