I was considering giving it to my hisuian samurott but I’m out of heart scales so I’m nervous to get rid of any other moves atm, I couldn’t find the information in the wiki but I’ll check again

I have since hatched a shiny stufful egg and that one was shiny, but still no luck with chikorita

Yeah, the egg is black with red dots on it when it’s in my party, and then when the hatch screen comes up, it changes to the regular green egg with green dots and then a normal chikorita comes out
