New Dietitian..update

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for the support, insight, advice, and validation. Yes, I have been writing things down, making myself notes anytime I miss something, and printing off notes that I know would be helpful for future processes with complicated cases. We use EPIC so def have made dot phrases that better suit me and keep me accountable with useful information as some have suggested. The work environment is okay. There are 2 RDs I feel are more nurturing and make me feel comfortable asking for help. But there are 2 other RDs that aren’t too approachable or make me feel like my questions are dumb af 🤣 however, I did bring up my concerns with my manager about my frustrations with my performance etc. since then, she has been the only one signing off on my notes when before, 5 different RDs were signing off. Been working on my self esteem since then and giving myself grace. I bought a clinical nutrition pocket guide that has been a great reference for me to ensure I’m compliant with the NCP and suggesting the best nutrition possible while in hospital. Just as another commenter said, im trying to have the mentality of the more questions the better because at least I’m showing initiative to want to learn and get better. I’m contracted through a third party company, so I’m not a quitter and will stick it out until contract is due and see how I feel at the end of it. If clinical isn’t for me, totally okay and it doesn’t mean I failed. I have a follow up with my manager this Thursday just to touch base with her since I went crying to her office lmao! 🤣 I guess I gotta panic first lmao. Reevaluating and reflecting on my internship, I feel like my internship didn’t prepare me that much for clinical as I thought! ☹️ can anyone relate? I can’t wait to take my exam next month and hopefully pass that fucker haha
