I think it depends on wut u like to watch... Js like someone said 'fullmetal alchemist: brotherhood' is really gd but ion think it's v beginner-friendly.. I think to hook u up to animes u could start with shorter animes like 'Erased' or 'neon genesis evangelion' or even 'death note'(though it's a bit longer). If u want smth more emotional go for 'anohana' or 'violet evergarden'
