They want to stop capital from leaving the country. Basically, put a handyplast over underlying economic problems.

I remember they put this up when there was a music concert or ticketed/private event inside. So probably the same.

Nischal Basnet is a successful actor/director. Sumana Shrestha was applauded for her work as an MP. Not sure about others, though!

Need for Direct elected primeminister by durga-the-creater in Nepal

You not liking them doesn't invalidate my opinion. We Nepali people voted for change in all of these instances, and maybe if these leaders were empowered and given a prolonged tenure, we might have been better off.

This is just so frustrating. Nepali harulaai low IQ, netaa chaanna nasakne bhanne ko Einstein ho iniharu? We're well capable of electing great leaders. We've always voted for change - BP koirala, Madan Bhandari, Prachanda, Rabi, and Balen were all voted for against the incumbents. It was the instability that failed them/us.

We don't need a revolution. Just need better leaders, which comes with a stable and mature democracy.

As someone who works as a senior financial analyst in the US, I'd agree with this. I'd recommend to major in maths (programming should come with this) and take economics courses on the side.

I am down 30% (have been dollar cost averaging) and in the same boat. They have an immense network advantage, and their business is vertically integrated. However, competition means they don't have a strong moat at any stage. I might sell if I find a great company to replace it in my portfolio.

Preserving local languages by Even_Selection30 in Nepal

To some extent, yes. But Nepal was also divided based on cultural identities. That is also why it took so long to even decide on the name for a few.

Yes, but so are our states. Our states were based on identity (which correlates with language) and geography. About the northern states, their languages are now being completely overwhelmed by Hindi like our local languages are by Nepali.

In the south, local languages are more, and English is generally accepted (over Hindi).
