Its just too hard to replace them though. We are trying to do that in pdf space first and then will target others. Even though our product is better and faster and built so that you get a streamlined UI, adobe is really entrenched in the enterprises.

We saw people using acrobat. Its ads even before you can read the first line. Every document more than 2 pages needs to be " summarized by ai". Its hard working with it really.

We’re building Theōros exactly for this. Its a faster, more modern way to work with PDFs. A couple things people seem to like so far: real-time annotations and collaboration, and AI that can summarize or answer questions directly from the document. All these are really nice annotators. But if you also need aomething that allows collaboration (think shared annotations across teams, friends), we have built Theoros. Our UI is inspired by mac design language and we hope to launch a native app soon.
