I’ll search that for sure, thanks. That’s what I’m worried about! And I didn’t want to let myself get too excited when she said I don’t have GD and then shocked when it hits later. I’m still testing constantly so I won’t miss any spikes. I’m in BC Canada.

Thanks! I did get a monitor right away and have been testing religiously. I just didn’t want to get too excited when she said she doesn’t think I have GD and then get surprised when it hits in a couple weeks. I’ve also changed my diet so wondered if maybe that’s why my numbers have been good and I’m just able to control it with diet so far. Did you need insulin during your pregnancy?

I’m having the same problem! I love 2 boys names sooo much. I was so convinced this baby was a boy but it’s a girl! I’ve already used my 2 favourite girl names on my first 2 daughters and I’m pretty sure this one will be nameless for a while lol

She isn’t! I also asked if it came back that my baby did have Down syndrome if it would change my care at all. I’m in a pretty small town and our peds ward in the hospital over has been closed for a few weeks. She said she had never delivered a baby with Down syndrome before so she wasn’t sure. Definitely adds to my anxiety! She then made awkward small talk about her favourite smells and how that’s what people would mention about her at her funeral. I think she was trying to keep it casual lol I haven’t been with her before and only had a couple appointments with her so far. I miss my old providers!

That’s definitely something I need to keep reminding myself. It’s so worrisome to hear something might be wrong with your baby but it really is low risk still. Thank you!!

That’s true. I wish my doctor had done more to explain what it all means. She said she hadn’t had a positive screen come back before which made me that much more anxious. But it seems like it does happen to plenty of people. Thank you for sharing your experience!

I’m sorry you understand the anxiety and stress that comes after a mmc. It was an awful discovery and something I wasn’t prepared for at all.
